Location

The Hotel Marina is located in a quiet area at the entrance to Matala, approximately 900 m from the sandy beach. Shops and entertainment can be found in the center of Matala, about 900m away. Heraklion Airport is approximately 70 km away.

Facilities

The small complex has 21 rooms and was completely renovated in winter 2025/26. The hotel offers a reception with rental safes, a lobby with a bar, an internet corner, and Wi-Fi throughout the facility (included), as well as a breakfast room. In the well-maintained outdoor area, surrounded by a blooming garden, there is a freshwater swimming pool with a sun terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool. Parking is available free of charge at the hotel.

Note on Climate Resilience Contribution

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room from January 1, 2025.
