This hotel complex is located approx. 1 km from the entrance to the village and from the fine-pebble beach of Matala, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag". In the center of Matala, you will find some shops and entertainment options. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 75 km.

The family-run complex, managed traditionally for many years, has 67 rooms spread across a main building and several outbuildings. The main building houses the 24-hour reception with a central safe (for a fee), Wi-Fi (included), TV and internet corner, and bar. In the beautiful, idyllic garden of the complex, there is a freshwater swimming pool with a separate children's pool and a sun terrace with loungers and umbrellas (free of charge). Sun loungers and umbrellas are available for a fee on the public beach.

The double rooms are located in the main building, are traditionally furnished, and feature a shower/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a balcony with a mountain view (D).

Double room with garden view

These double rooms are located in the idyllic garden complex, are slightly larger, and also traditionally furnished with a telephone, radio, refrigerator, air conditioning, shower/WC, and a balcony with a garden view. They additionally feature satellite TV, a rental safe, and a hairdryer (DA).

Single room

These are double rooms for single occupancy (DE).
Also bookable as type A at a special price (DEA) as an additional contingent. For type A, accommodation can be anywhere in the complex.

Comfort double room

Make your holiday special. The schauinsland-reisen original comfort rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms type A with king-size beds, Wi-Fi (included), LCD satellite TV, coffee/tea maker, air conditioning, safe (included), bathrobes and slippers, hairdryer, toiletries in the bathroom, and complimentary pool towels. The comfort rooms are located in the garden (2CD). Can also be booked for single use (1CD).

Bungalow 2 bedrooms

The bungalows consist of 2 bedrooms with extremely comfortable Coco-Mat mattresses, telephone, air conditioning, refrigerator, Smart TV, and a bathroom with shower and bathtub with whirlpool function, WC and hairdryer, rental safe, as well as a small terrace and mini-garden (B22).

Continental breakfast buffet (8-10 am) and dinner (7-9 pm) served buffet style.
Vegetarian dishes and menus for special dietary needs are available upon request.

Note on climate resilience fee

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from 01.01.2025, ranges from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euros per day and room.
