Location

This hotel, built in a classic style, is situated in an idyllic, quiet hillside location on the mountain side of Malia, nestled in a magnificent garden with a fantastic panoramic view of the bay of Malia and Stalis.
The beautiful sandy beach is just a few minutes' walk away, and the old town of Malia with its numerous shopping and entertainment options is approximately a 10-minute walk from the hotel. A public bus stop is located directly below the hotel at a distance of approx. 200 m. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 35 km.

This personally managed establishment with German-speaking staff offers a friendly and informal atmosphere and is ideal for guests wishing to spend their holidays among friends.
Renovated in some areas in 2023, Hotel Matheo Villas & Suites features a total of 83 rooms, an entrance area, a 24-hour reception (renovated in 2023), lift, TV corner, and a restaurant with a terrace and bar (both renovated in 2023; opening is subject to season). Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire hotel area. The outdoor area features a swimming pool (also renovated in 2023) with a separate children's pool and a whirlpool. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Bath towels can also be rented for a fee.

The double rooms feature a walk-in rain shower/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bath towels, air conditioning, safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea making facilities, satellite TV (German channels available), telephone, and a balcony or terrace with a side sea view (DMS). Optionally available as a Super Saver Room with garden view (SSZ) or, for an extra charge, as a double room with sea view (DM). Also bookable for single occupancy with side sea view (DES).

Superior Double Room Side Sea View

The more spacious Superior double rooms feature a walk-in rain shower/WC, hairdryer, vanity mirror, bath towels, air conditioning, safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea making facilities, espresso machine, ironing station, and a sofa bed, satellite TV (German channels available), telephone, and a balcony or terrace with a side sea view (D2S). Optionally available with sea view for an extra charge (DMU/DIM).

Suite Side Sea View

With the same facilities as the Superior double rooms, the spacious suites have a separate living/sleeping area with a connecting door and a side sea view (2SS). Optionally available with sea view for an extra charge (S2M).

Half Board/Full Board

Breakfast (7:30 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.) and dinner (6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.) in buffet form.
With full board, lunch is served as a 3-course menu.

Information on Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
