The Giannoulis Cavo Spada Luxury Sports & Leisure Resort is ideal for sports enthusiasts who wish to enjoy a beautiful stay in a quiet and luxurious environment. The resort is very spacious and extends over a private plot of approximately 65,000 m² directly by a pebble beach. The beach area has been awarded the "Blue Flag" for its high water quality. Chania is approx. 23 km away, Chania airport approx. 40 km, and the village of Kolymbari with numerous shopping and entertainment options is approx. 2 km away. Heraklion airport, on the other hand, can be reached in approx. 164 km.

The 150 stylishly furnished rooms offer tasteful décor and top-class comfort. Furthermore, this fully air-conditioned, luxury hotel of the highest caliber features a 24-hour reception with a lobby, a main bar overlooking Chania Bay, a seating area, a boutique, a hairdresser, and an indoor pool. The hotel features a main restaurant as well as three à-la-carte restaurants: "Azzurro" with Italian cuisine, "Ayra" with Mediterranean specialties, and the Greek tavern "Sea Line".
From 2027, the gastronomic concept will be adjusted: "Azzurro" will then offer Mediterranean and international cuisine, "Ayra" will specialize in Cretan cuisine, and "Sea Line" will remain as a Greek tavern.
Wi-Fi access is provided free of charge in public areas and in the rooms.
The expansive outdoor area features a generously sized lagoon-style swimming pool and a pool bar. Sun loungers and parasols are included for hotel guests at the pool and on the beach.

Superior Double Room Sea View

Superior Double Rooms with sea view are equipped with a separate bathroom and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), and a large balcony with sun loungers, a parasol, and panoramic sea views. These rooms are located on the upper floors (DMU).

Superior Double Room Sharing Pool

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View, these feature a terrace with sun loungers and direct access to the sharing pool, with garden instead of sea view (P2H/2SH).

Deluxe Family Room Garden View

The spacious family rooms consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a separate bedroom and are equipped with a separate bathroom and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), as well as a balcony or terrace; these are more spacious (2DF).

Family Room Sharing Pool

With the same amenities as the Deluxe Family Rooms, these Family Rooms Sharing Pool feature direct access to the shared pool with a terrace and private sun loungers (F2H).

Junior Suite Swim Up Sea View

The Junior Suites Swim Up consist of a combined living/bedroom with a seating area and are equipped with a separate bathroom and shower/WC, hairdryer, toiletries, bathrobes, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, telephone, flatscreen satellite TV with music channels, minibar (for a fee), as well as a private terrace with sun loungers, parasols, and direct access to the main pool with sea view (SDP).

All Inclusive

All Inclusive (A)

Breakfast (7:30-10:30 am), lunch (1:00-3:00 pm), and dinner (7:00-9:30 pm), each in buffet form in the main restaurant.
Water, soft drinks, local beer, and house wine are included with meals.
Local and selected international alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included from 10:00 am - 12:00 am at the respective open bar.
Snacks from 11:00 am - 6:00 pm, ice cream and cake from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.
Lunch is possible twice a week at the beach tavern "Sea Line" (instead of the buffet restaurant, reservation required, drinks included). Dinner is possible once a week at the Italian à-la-carte restaurant "Azzurro" (reservation required, drinks not included, minimum consumption for drinks is 18 € per person). Free mineral water in the room (replenished daily) included.

Ultra All Inclusive (3)

Guests with Ultra All Inclusive enjoy an extended program until 1:00 am and can enjoy dinner at the "Azzurro" à-la-carte restaurant and lunch at the Greek tavern "Sea Line" daily free of charge (reservation required by 9:00 pm the previous day).
Participation in BBQ and seafood nights is also included (reservation required by 9:00 pm the previous day). From 2027, an Italian night will also be offered.
Furthermore, guests receive one free 45-minute spa treatment per week (incl. indoor pool, sauna, and steam bath). Upon arrival, a fruit basket and a bottle of wine are provided, and daily replenishment of the minibar is also included.

Sports included

Spacious indoor fitness center equipped with more than 30 branded machines (cardio equipment) and full fitness accessories. Outdoor fitness center with an area of approx. 300 m², 2 different surfaces (hard and elastic), and equipped with more than 20 branded machines. 60 m long tartan running track. Illuminated multi-court for mini-soccer and volleyball (at night for a fee). Fitness classes are offered outdoors on the beach. Two boules/bocce courts. Open-air obstacle course, beach volleyball, well-signposted and mapped paths for hiking, Nordic walking, and jogging between one and seven kilometers through various picturesque places around the hotel, Zumba, yoga, and Pilates classes.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
