Location

The Giannoulis Grand Bay Beach Resort, which welcomes guests aged 16 and over, is located directly on the approximately 3 km long sandy and pebble beach of Kolymbari, which has been awarded the "Blue Flag". The picturesque fishing village still retains its traditional Cretan style. The resort is located about 25 km from Chania town, approx. 44 km from Chania airport and about 160 km from Heraklion airport. The famous Samaria Gorge is only about 40 km away. This makes the resort the ideal starting point for excursions into the impressive nature, to the most famous beaches of Crete such as Balos Lagoon and Elafonisi, as well as to the island's cultural sights.

The adults-only hotel (bookable from 16 years) is an elegant all-inclusive resort with 78 rooms (89 rooms from 2027) and suites. Culinary variety is provided by the two à la carte restaurants "Azzuro" and "Sea Line Taverne", as well as the buffet restaurant. There are also two bars. The four outdoor pools (6 outdoor pools from 2027), including a river-style relaxation pool, ensure relaxation. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge on the spacious sun terrace and on the beach. Other facilities include a 24-hour reception and a spa. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.

Double room

The spacious rooms are elegantly furnished with a large marble bathroom with bathtub/shower, WC, bathrobes, slippers, pool/beach towels, telephone, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, care products, air conditioning (centrally controlled), satellite TV, minibar (for a fee), a rental safe and a furnished terrace or balcony (D). Can also be booked with sea view and balcony (DM) upon request.

Double room sharing pool

Optionally, the double rooms can also be booked with a terrace, sun loungers, umbrella and direct access to one of the two main pools (PZ2) or with direct access to the sharing pool, sun loungers, sun umbrella and sea view (M2H).
The sharing pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for cautious behavior and special attention when using this area.

In addition to the amenities of the double rooms, the suites have a separate living/sleeping area with a small dining area (S2).

Junior Suite Seafront

The junior suites consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a small dining area and have the same equipment as the double rooms. The junior suites are located on the first floor of the building and offer a direct view of the sea (J2M).

The junior suites are located on the ground floor and the communal terrace with a private sun umbrella and sun loungers can be reached via three steps. Ice cream is served in the main restaurant from 10:00 am - 9:30 pm. Snacks are offered from 11:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Destination information Climate Resilience Fee

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from January 1, 2025, from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euros per day and room.
