Location

The family-friendly Hotel Petra Mare is located directly on the sand/pebble beach. The center of Ierapetra, with its numerous shopping and entertainment opportunities, is about a 15-minute walk away. Heraklion Airport is about 100 km from the hotel.

Facilities

The Hotel Petra Mare has a total of 227 spacious rooms spread over 4 floors. The facilities include a 24-hour reception with a lobby, three elevators, and a cozy lounge area. There is also a restaurant with an outdoor terrace, as well as the à la carte restaurants "Almyra" and "Elia". Further amenities include a mini-market and a multi-purpose hall. The well-maintained outdoor area features a large seawater pool with hydromassage and a children's area with a children's pool (the pools are heated in the low season). The snack bar and an open-air theater are in close proximity. Beach towels, loungers, and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the complex.

Junior Suite

The Junior Suites have a bathroom with a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, individual air conditioning (included), 50" Smart TV, safe, telephone (for a fee), mini-fridge, kettle, and a balcony or terrace with a mountain view (JS2).
Optionally, the Junior Suite can also be booked with a sea view (J2M).

Panorama Suite

The Panorama Suites have the same amenities as the Junior Suites, but are more spacious, are located on the 4th floor, and have a sea view (PSV).

Junior Suite Sliding Door

With the same amenities as the Junior Suites, they feature a separate living area with a sliding door and a mountain view (J2B). Optionally available with a sea view for an additional charge (B2J).

Family Suite

The Family Suites offer the same amenities as the Junior Suites, but with more space. They consist of a separate bedroom separated by a sliding door. This room category features a double bed, a sofa bed, and a bunk bed. Additionally, the Family Suites have a terrace and a sea view (2FM).

All Inclusive

Breakfast (7-10:30 AM), lunch (12:30-2:30 PM), and dinner (6:30-9:30 PM) served buffet style. Snacks from 10 AM to midnight, ice cream for children from 12-1 PM and from 4-5 PM. Branded alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 10 AM to midnight are included at the respective open bar.

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room from 01.01.2025.
