Location

Many regular guests appreciate the relaxed atmosphere at Vardis Olive Garden and speak of the staff as friends rather than employees. This beautiful complex is situated on the northwest coast of Crete, in the middle of an organic olive grove covering approx. 22,000 m². The small village of Kavros, with shopping facilities, is just a short walk away. The nearest sand/pebble beach is 1 km away. The worth-seeing harbor town of Rethymnon with its historic city center, as well as Georgioupolis, are easily accessible and always worth a trip, as is the well-known freshwater lake in Kournas, which is located in the immediate vicinity and invites you to swim. Chania airport is approx. 50 km away and Heraklion airport is approx. 101 km away.

The lovingly managed complex is a small oasis of well-being and features 58 cozy studios and apartments. A reception, a restaurant, a bar, and a mini-market are available to guests. Wi-Fi is included throughout the entire complex. In the spacious outdoor area, there is a swimming pool with a separate children's pool as well as a sun terrace. Numerous retreats under shade-providing trees invite you to relax. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests free of charge throughout the complex.

The friendly furnished studios feature a bath or shower/WC, hairdryer, mini-fridge, air conditioning (for a fee), rental safe, kitchenette, and a balcony or terrace (S12).

Information on climate resilience fee

For stays from 1/1/2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and is tiered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room as of 1/1/2025.
