Location

On the northern coast of Crete lies the town of Hersonissos, just a few kilometers from the island's capital, Heraklion. Hersonissos is considered one of the island's most popular towns, with its golden, endless beaches and lively town center harmoniously blending with the numerous monuments of the Lasithi Plateau. Chersonissos caters to guests of all ages with diverse interests, serving as an ideal starting point for a wonderful holiday on the island. The hotel is located directly on the sandy beach, about 200m from the town center. The nearest airport (HER) is approximately 27 km away.

Facilities

The Alia Beach Hotel is a charming hotel complex in Hersonissos, and its privileged location on the Hersonissos coast makes it the ideal place for a holiday for couples or families. The hotel offers excellent service, allowing guests to fully experience Greek hospitality. The hotel has a total of 70 rooms spread across 3 floors. Junior Suite Sea View

With otherwise similar amenities to the double rooms, these are more spacious and offer sea views (J2M).

Executive Suite Sea View (from Summer 2026)

These elegant and bright executive suites with magnificent sea views have been renovated and furnished with boho-style elements. The bathroom features a rain shower, bathrobe, slippers, and toiletries, while the room includes a living area with two sofa beds and a desk for comfort. Sleeping arrangements include twin beds or single beds. The executive suites are located between the 1st and 3rd floors and have a private balcony or terrace (approx. 48m², ESM).

Suite Superior Sea View (from Summer 2026)

The Suite Superior, with its wonderful sea view, is similar in amenities to the Executive Suite but slightly smaller, featuring only one sofa bed in the living area (approx. 32m², SUM).

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018 onwards, the Greek government is levying a climate resilience fee, which guests must pay locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room starting from January 1, 2025.
For stays during high season from April 1 to October 31:
Category 1-2 Stars: 2 Euros
Category 3 Stars: 5 Euros
Category 4 Stars: 10 Euros
Category 5 Stars: 15 Euros
For stays during low season from November 1 to March 31:
Category 1-2 Stars: 0.50 Euros
Category 3 Stars: 1.50 Euros
Category 4 Stars: 3 Euros
Category 5 Stars: 4 Euros
