Location

In ancient Greece, an "Abaton" was a sacred place inaccessible to most people—an area within a Greek temple reserved exclusively for the gods. Today, Abaton represents a luxury inspired by and rooted in nature.
The hotel is located directly by the sea, on a natural stone coast with sandy coves, approximately 2 km outside of Chersonissos. Heraklion airport is approximately 27 km away.

The "Loft Deluxe Sea View" rooms feature the same amenities as the Deluxe Sea View double rooms but are somewhat more spacious and designed as an open-plan layout on two levels with a separate living/sleeping area, ideal for accommodating up to 3 people (2B/MDI).

Villa Private Pool Beachfront

With the same amenities as the suites, spread over 2 floors, consisting of two separate bedrooms and a living/dining area, as well as a private heated pool and extra smart TV (2IO).

Royal Villa

With the same amenities as the suites, spread over 2 floors with an internal elevator, consisting of four separate bedrooms and a living/dining area with kitchen, as well as a private heated pool with water massage function, gym, hammam, dressing room, and extra smart TV (VA).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We kindly ask guests to behave prudently and pay special attention when using this area.

Meals

Breakfast/Half Board

Breakfast (7:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.) and dinner (6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.) in buffet form in the main restaurant.
Furthermore, when booking half board, guests can use the 4 à-la-carte restaurants for dinner. In the "Bony Fish Seafood" restaurant, "Elemes" (Cretan cuisine), and "WOW" Steakhouse, a 3-course menu is included; some specialties and drinks are available for an extra charge. At the "Buddha-Bar Beach" restaurant, a credit of €25 per person per day is applied to food; further dishes and drinks are available for an extra charge.

Destination information

For stays starting from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience levy, which must be paid by the guest on-site, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of Jan 1, 2025, is staggered from 0.50 euros to 15 euros per day and room.
