Location

In ancient Greece, an Abaton was a sacred place, inaccessible to most people. An area within a Greek temple reserved only for the gods. Today, Abaton stands for a luxury that is inspired by and anchored in nature.
The hotel is located directly by the sea, on a natural stone coast with sandy coves, approx. 2 km outside of Chersonissos. Heraklion Airport is approx. 27 km away.

The rooms can also be booked for single use (DD1).

Double Room Deluxe Seafront

With the same facilities as the Double Room Deluxe Sea View, these rooms are situated in the front row facing the sea (L2B).

Double Room Deluxe Loft Sea View

The "Loft Deluxe Sea View" rooms feature the same facilities as the Double Room Deluxe Sea View, but are slightly more spacious and open-plan over 2 levels with a separate living/sleeping area, ideal for accommodation for up to 3 people (2B/MDI).

Double Room Luxury Whirlpool

These beautiful rooms feature an open-plan bathroom with a bathtub and rain shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, bath towels, king-size bed, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), Wi-Fi (included), smart flat-screen TV, safe, minibar, tea/coffee maker, Nespresso coffee machine, and a whirlpool on the furnished terrace (PT2).

These feature the same facilities as the suites with whirlpool and are also spread over 2 levels. They offer a private, furnished terrace with direct access to a sharing pool (SSH). The suites offer a sea view from the balcony on the upper floor (sleeping area).
The sharing pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for thoughtful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Villa Private Pool Beachfront

With the same facilities as the suites, spread over 2 floors, these consist of two separate bedrooms and a living/dining area as well as a private heated pool and extra smart TV (2IO).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for thoughtful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Villa Royal

With the same facilities as the suites, spread over 2 floors with an internal elevator, these consist of four separate bedrooms and a living/dining area with a kitchen, as well as a private heated pool with water massage function, gym, hammam, walk-in closet, and extra smart TV (VA).
The private pool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We ask for thoughtful behavior and special attention when using this area.

Meals

Breakfast/Half-board

Breakfast (7:30-10:30 a.m.) and dinner (6:30-9:30 p.m.) in buffet form in the main restaurant.
Additionally, when booking half-board, the 4 à la carte restaurants can be used for dinner. A 3-course menu is included in the "Bony Fish Seafood" restaurant, "Elemes" (Cretan cuisine), and "WOW" steakhouse; some specialties and drinks are available for an extra charge. At the "Buddha-Bar Beach" restaurant, a credit of €25 per person per day is applied towards the food; additional dishes and drinks are available for an extra charge.

For stays from Jan 1, 2018, the Greek government imposes a climate resilience levy, payable by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax.
