Location

This family-run, small hotel complex, which is very popular with regular guests, is located in a quiet, green setting approx. 800 meters from the village center of Bali with its pretty fishing harbor and a few minutes' walk from 2 sand/pebble beaches. The distance to Heraklion airport is approx. 50 km. It is approx. 30 km to the town of Rethymnon and approx. 80 km to Chania. Buses run hourly in both directions from the nearby bus stop.

Breakfast (7-10 am), lunch (1-2:30 pm) and dinner (7-9 pm) are offered in buffet form.
At Xidas Garden, all cooking is done using self-produced olive oil from the hotel's own olive groves. Enjoy your dinner and gain an insight into typical Cretan cuisine.
During meals, water, wine, beer, soft drinks, and juice are available.
At the pool bar, you can obtain soft drinks, juice, local wine and beer, a selection of local spirits, as well as coffee/tea and ice cream for self-service from 11 am-11 pm.

Information regarding climate resilience tax

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience tax, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a local tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and is staggered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room starting January 1, 2025.
For stays in high season April 1 - October 31:
Land category 1-2 stars: 2 Euros
Land category 3 stars: 5 Euros
Land category 4 stars: 10 Euros
Land category 5 stars: 15 Euros
For stays in low season November 1 - March 31:
Land category 1-2 stars: 0.50 Euros

Arrival by car

From the airport, drive onto the highway towards Heraklion/Rethymnon, past Heraklion (continue straight on through the traffic light intersection). Drive along the coast road past the villages of Agia Pelagia and Fodele and continue following the road. The next village is Sissi; continue driving west.
Afterwards, you will reach the Bali exit; follow the road into the village until you see a small sign on the left side with the name Xidas Garden. A road leads up to the hotel.
