Location

The family-friendly hotel is separated from the sand/shingle beach by only a small road. There are rocky slabs in the sea, so swimming shoes are recommended. Shopping and entertainment options are in the vicinity. Chersonissos is approx. 3 km away and Heraklion is approx. 24 km away.

The resort consists of a main building and several bungalow buildings with a total of 351 rooms and features a lobby with a 24-hour reception, 2 lifts, TV corner, Wi-Fi (included), commercial arcade with a mini-market, souvenir and jewellery shop, laundry service (for a fee). In addition to the main restaurant, five themed restaurants (Italian, Asian and Cretan/Greek specialities, fish and pop-up grill (adults-only in July and August)) as well as a crêperie and five bars (including an adults-only bar with champagne, wine & sushi) offer guests a culinary variety. In the extensive grounds there are 4 swimming pools and a children's pool as well as 2 water slides for children. Sun loungers and parasols are included at the pool and on the beach. Pool towels are available free of charge.

Super saver room

The spacious rooms feature a bath or shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning, vanity mirror, bathrobes, pool towels, slippers, telephone, hairdryer, satellite TV and a safe. The minibar is included and is replenished daily. Upon arrival, nuts, dried fruit and a bottle of wine are provided. The rooms are also equipped with a coffee machine, and the capsules for this are also replenished daily. All rooms have a balcony or terrace with inland view (SSZ). Can also be booked as a double room for single use (DE).

With the same facilities as the super saver room, these have a balcony or terrace with a sea view (B2M).

Bungalow sea view whirlpool

With the same facilities as the super saver room, these have a balcony or terrace with a sea view. Additionally, there is a whirlpool on the balcony or terrace (BJM).
The whirlpool is not supervised by a lifeguard. We request that guests behave cautiously and pay special attention when using this area.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk potential for small children.
For this reason, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booking these room types.

Family room

The family rooms have the same facilities as the super saver room and also feature a sleeping area separated by a sliding door. The rooms are located in the bungalow area or in the main building (DF2). Also bookable with sea view (F2M).

The family rooms have the same facilities as the super saver room and also feature a sleeping area separated by a sliding door. Additionally, the rooms have access to a sharing pool (F2H).

The all-inclusive programme offers all guests the opportunity to dine once per week per restaurant (upon availability) with a prior reservation in the following restaurants:

Italian à-la-carte restaurant: Lunch from 12:30 pm–2:30 pm and dinner from 7 pm–10 pm.
Pan-Asian à-la-carte restaurant: Brunch from 9 am–12 pm and dinner from 6:30 pm–10 pm.
Fish à-la-carte restaurant: Dinner from 6:30 pm–10 pm.

Snacks as well as coffee and tea (10 am–6 pm), ice cream (10 am–2 am). Selection of international and local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (8:30 am–1 am).
Appropriate attire is requested for dinner.

Destination information: Climate resilience tax

For stays starting from 1.1.2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest locally, comparable to a tourist tax.
The amount depends on the type/category of the accommodation and, as of 1.1.2025, is scaled from 0.50 Euro to 15 Euro per day and room.
For stays in the high season 1.4.–31.10.
