The Civitel Creta Beach is located directly on the sandy beach of Ammoudara, only approx. 5 km from the center of Heraklion. The distance to Heraklion Airport is approx. 12 km.

The charming hotel with a total of 174 rooms spread across a main building and several bungalow buildings features a reception (24h), lobby area, Wi-Fi (included), air-conditioned main restaurant with terrace, two à la carte restaurants and a bar. In the well-maintained outdoor area, you will find the garden, a swimming pool and a separate children's pool. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool and on the beach. Towels are provided free of charge.

Double Room

The double rooms are located amidst the landscaped gardens, a two or three-minute walk from the beach, and feature a bathtub or shower/WC, hairdryer, individually adjustable air conditioning (included), Wi-Fi (included), coffee/tea maker, minibar (included once upon arrival, then for a fee), rental safe, flat-screen satellite TV, tiled floor, balcony or terrace (D/DI). Also available as Economy Double Room (SSZ), as Double Room or Bungalow Waterfront (2WD) or for single occupancy (DE/DEA, only bookable with AI).

Bungalow

The bungalows at Creta Beach were originally designed in the late 1960s by forward-thinking architects who wanted to preserve the natural beach character and build discreet, low-rise chalets instead of towering hotels. Today, this concept is very important to Creta Beach's eco-friendly philosophy, which retains the charm of the original bungalows but has completely modernized them from the inside out. They have the same amenities as the double rooms (B2A/B2B). Also available for single occupancy (B1B).

Family Room

The spacious family rooms have four single beds and a balcony or terrace with a view of the hotel garden or the sea. The family rooms have an additional bedroom (without a door). Authentic influences and modern, minimalist style meet, while guests can expect clear, calm color schemes with vibrant accents and a traditional flair. It features an en-suite bathroom with a bathtub and complimentary toiletries. (Some with 1 bunk bed or 2 sofa beds, DF2).

Superior Bungalow

The Superior Bungalows are the ideal choice for couples who prefer extra space or for couples with a child, thanks to the additional sofa bed. Surrounded by natural grass and palm trees, they offer maximum space and comfort. They have the same amenities as the bungalows but are more spacious (2BU).

Premium Bungalow

Have the same amenities as the Superior Bungalows, but are more modern (BP2).
Also available as Premium Waterfront Bungalow with shower/WC (BW2).

Family Bungalow

The family rooms are located in the bungalows, designed in an open-plan style and, with the same amenities as the double rooms, have additional single beds for the 3rd and 4th person (FBC).

Premium Junior Suite Waterfront

The recently renovated Premium Junior Suites Waterfront have the same amenities as the double rooms, with a combined living/sleeping area with a sofa bed and a separate bedroom with a double bed, private terrace, and view of the Aegean Sea (2WJ).

Information on climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government levies a climate resilience fee, which is to be paid by the guest locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and, from January 1, 2025, will be staggered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day and room.
For stays during high season (April 1 - October 31):
