Location

The family-run Hotel Iolida Beach is located directly on the sandy beach of Agia Marina. The center of Platanias is about 1.5 kilometers from the hotel, while Chania with its picturesque old town and numerous shopping opportunities is about 8 km away. Chania International Airport is approximately 22 km away, and Heraklion International Airport is approximately 160 km away. A bus stop is within walking distance, reachable in approx. 100 m.

The hotel consists of an older building section directly on the sea and a newer section in the second row from the beach on the other side of the coastal road. Both parts of the hotel are connected by a bridge and are divided into a total of three buildings with 139 rooms. The complex has a reception area with a 24-hour reception, an elevator, a supermarket, and two restaurants. In the well-kept outdoor area, there are two freshwater swimming pools with sun terraces and two pool bars. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available to guests free of charge by the pools and for a fee on the beach. Beach towels can be rented for a fee. Wi-Fi is available free of charge in all areas of the hotel.

Studio

The studios have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, kitchenette, individually adjustable air conditioning, telephone, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, safe for rent, satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace, located in the annex building in the second row from the beach on the other side of the coastal road (S12).
Optionally, studios with the same amenities can also be booked with sea view (SM2).

1 Bedroom Apartment

The apartments have the same amenities as the studios but with an additional bedroom separated by a sliding door, and are slightly larger (A12).
Optionally, apartments with the same amenities can also be booked with sea view (2AM).

A selection of snacks from 12:00 PM to 5:30 PM and ice cream from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM are included.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are included at the open bars from 10:00 AM to 11:00 PM.
Gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegetarian options, as well as diet meals, are available upon request.

Information regarding climate resilience levy

For stays from January 1, 2018, the Greek government has introduced a climate resilience levy, payable by guests locally, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room from January 1, 2025.
