Location

The Golden Mare Resort is located in Barbati, in the east of Corfu, separated from the sand/pebble beach only by a road and a few steps. Shops and entertainment facilities are in the vicinity. Free bus transfer to Barbati beach with several departures daily. The airport and Corfu town are approx. 20 km away.

The complex, built on a hillside, has 100 rooms and offers an entrance hall with a 24-hour reception, luggage storage, bar, main restaurant, à la carte restaurant "Galaxy" (for a fee) and a mini-market. Wi-Fi is included throughout the complex.
In the well-kept garden area, there is a swimming pool, sun terrace, pool bar and the roof bar "Golden View" (for a fee). Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, available for a fee on the beach.

Double room

The modernly furnished rooms have a shower/toilet, hairdryer, slippers, individually regulated air conditioning, 40" LCD TV, DVD player (on request), safe, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge and a balcony or terrace (D).
Optionally available at an extra charge with a side (DMS) or direct sea view (DM) and also for single occupancy (DE/DEM).

Double room Superior sea view

Located in the newly built annex in 2019 in the upper part of the complex, these rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, plus a kettle and direct sea view (DMU).

Junior suite sea view

Also located in the newly built annex in 2019 in the upper part of the complex, these suites are more spacious than the Double rooms Superior and also have a direct sea view (J2M).

Breakfast from 7 AM to 10 AM, late riser breakfast from 10 AM to 11 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2:30 PM, and dinner from 7 PM to 9:30 PM are served buffet-style.
In the afternoon from 4 PM to 5 PM, snacks, ice cream, coffee/tea and pastries are available at the pool bar.
Local alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks are available at the open bar from 10 AM to 11:30 PM.

Note on Climate Resilience Levy

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience tax, which is to be paid by the guest on site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from 0.50 Euros to 15 Euros per day per room from 01.01.2025.
