Location

The Golden Mare Resort is located in Barbati, on the east coast of Corfu, separated from the sand/pebble beach only by a road and a few steps. Shops and entertainment facilities are in the vicinity. Free bus transfer to Barbati beach with several departures daily. The airport and Corfu town are approximately 20 km away.

The resort, built on a slope, has 100 rooms and offers an entrance hall with a 24-hour reception, luggage storage, bar, main restaurant, à la carte restaurant "Galaxy" (for a fee), and a minimarket. Wi-Fi is included throughout the property.
The well-maintained garden area features a swimming pool, sun terrace, pool bar, and the roof bar "Golden View" (for a fee). Sun loungers and umbrellas are included by the pool, available for a fee at the beach.

Double room

The modernly furnished rooms have a shower/WC, hairdryer, slippers, individually adjustable air conditioning, 40" LCD TV, DVD player (on request), safe, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea station, mini-fridge, and a balcony or terrace (D).
Available at an additional charge also with a side (DMS) or direct sea view (DM) and for single occupancy (DE/DEM).

Double room Superior Sea View

Located in the newly built annex in the upper part of the resort (completed in 2019), these rooms have the same amenities as the double rooms, plus a kettle and direct sea view (DMU).

Junior Suite Sea View

Also located in the newly built annex in the upper part of the resort (completed in 2019), these suites are more spacious than the double rooms superior and also feature direct sea views (J2M).

Note for climate resilience contribution

For stays from 01.01.2018 onwards, the Greek government levies a climate resilience contribution, which is to be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a tourist tax. The amount depends on the type/category of accommodation and will be tiered from €0.50 to €15 per day and room from 01.01.2025.
