Location

The Blue Bay Hotel is located in a quiet position on the cliffs, approx. 50 m above the sea, with a gently sloping sand/pebble beach (accessible via stairs). Due to its unique location, the hotel offers a fantastic view of the sea and the surrounding area. The centre of the popular village of Afitos, with its numerous shopping and entertainment venues, is approx. a 10-minute walk away. Kalithea, another popular holiday resort, can be reached via a side road in approx. 1.2 km. Thessaloniki Airport is approx. 80 km away.

The adults-only hotel with 69 rooms consists of a main building and 4 two-storey annex buildings and features a 24-hour reception, restaurant with non-smoking area, conference room, souvenir shop, bar, wellness area. Within the well-maintained gardens, there are two freshwater pools, one of which is located in the quieter part of the complex. Sun loungers and umbrellas are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Pool towels are included at the pool and available for a fee at the beach. Wi-Fi is available free of charge throughout the entire hotel complex.

Double room side sea view

The double rooms feature a double bed, bath/WC, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, safe, refrigerator, electric kettle for coffee and tea making, air conditioning, balcony, and side sea view (DMS/DIS).

Single room side sea view

Single rooms have the same facilities as the double rooms and have a side sea view (EMS).

Super saver room

The saver rooms are located on the ground floor with identical facilities (access via the terrace) and are on the land side. The safe is available at the reception. The rooms do not have a balcony (SSZ).

Double room Superior side sea view

With the same facilities as the double rooms, the Superior double rooms are slightly more spacious and have a large balcony with a side sea view (D2S).

Double room Deluxe side sea view

With the same facilities and size as the Superior double rooms, these feature higher-quality furniture, a coffee/tea corner, bathrobes, slippers, and side sea view (DDS) or can be booked with a sea view (DDM).
Upon arrival, guests receive a bottle of water and a bottle of wine in their room.

Junior suite sea view

With otherwise identical facilities to the double rooms, the renovated junior suites feature an integrated living room with a sofa bed for additional sleeping, a walk-in shower, coffee/tea corner, bathrobe, slippers, a second balcony with two sun loungers, and sea view (J2M).
Upon arrival, guests receive a bottle of water and a bottle of wine in their room.

The pool bar is open from 10 am to midnight, snacks are available until 10:30 pm (for a fee). The à la carte restaurant is open from 3 pm to 10:30 pm (for a fee).

Climate resilience fee note

For stays from 1 January 2018, the Greek government charges a climate resilience fee, which must be paid by the guest on-site, similar to a local visitor's tax.
