Location

In the heart of Thuringia, in the health resort town of Friedrichroda, lies the comfortable hotel AHORN Berghotel Friedrichroda. It offers a breathtaking view of the gentle hills of the Thuringian Forest. The climatic health resort is ideal for an active and relaxing holiday. Nearby is the Marienglashöhle cave (approx. 3 km) and the Thüringerwaldbahn, which offers tours to Gotha or Bad Tabarz (approx. 15 minutes on foot). Gotha is about 14 km away, while Eisenach with the Wartburg Castle is about 30 km away. An outdoor swimming pool in Friedrichroda can be reached in about 15 minutes on foot. For hiking enthusiasts, the Benediktinerpfad (15 km circular route) starts directly at the hotel.

Facilities

The AHORN Berghotel has a total of 457 rooms and other amenities include the Ludowinger Lounge, a beer garden, a summer terrace, as well as a sauna and a fitness room. Guests can relax in the large indoor pool and the weather-dependent outdoor pool. A large outdoor area with seating, an Active Team for house programs for adults and children, and the 24-hour reception complement the offer. The Azado Restaurant & Café on the 12th floor provides food and drinks.

Double room with 1 extra bed

The rooms have a seating area, shower/toilet and hairdryer. The rooms consist of a sleeping area with a double bed and an extra bed. The average room size is approx. 19 m² (Z1D).

Single room Single/Child

With otherwise similar amenities and size to the double rooms, there is only a double bed here without an extra bed (E1K).

Double room Interconnecting

The rooms consist of 2 double rooms, located next to or opposite each other (no connecting door). The first room has a double bed and the second room has a double bed and an extra bed. Both rooms also have a desk, shower/toilet and are each approx. 19m² in size. Note: Children under 2 years old are not allowed to stay in a separate room without a parent (CI2).
