Location

For a unique escape from everyday life, guests in the Tropical Islands Woodland area immerse themselves in realistically designed Woodland Homes, located outside the Tropical Island grounds in a green and quiet environment. The Tropical Islands Resort is situated in the idyllic nature of the popular Spreewald region, which is rich in interesting sights and excursion destinations, making it an ideal starting point for activities in a culturally and historically interesting area. Please note: The Tropical Islands hall is approx. 15 minutes on foot or approx. 5 minutes by car. A shuttle service operates (according to the timetable on-site).

The Woodland Homes are ideal for families and guests who, after an adventurous and active day of swimming at Tropical Islands, wish to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing night in their own small private space just outside the main area. Tropical Islands offers not only swimming fun for the whole family but also a variety of dining options, an entertainment program in the Tropino Kids Club, and diverse accommodation choices, as well as a sauna landscape divided into 7 different areas. Swim in the South Sea, or take a trip to Bali's lagoon. Embark on exciting expeditions in the world's largest indoor rainforest.
The year-round outdoor area of Tropical Islands, "AMAZONIA," offers fantastic water attractions, extensive sunbathing and sports areas, as well as numerous wellness and relaxation options for the whole family on a gigantic area of 35,000 m².
Tropical Islands awaits you with an incredible water slide adventure! Germany's highest water slide tower, at an amazing 27 meters high, features five different slides. From the leisurely family slide with its wide wave slide to a head-to-head race on our Double Racer slide, everyone will find their perfect sliding experience here! If that's not enough, visit Jungle Splash next door!

Woodland Home

The comfortable Woodland Homes feature a TV, one bathroom (shower, toilet), a second bathroom (sink, toilet), an outdoor electric grill (available on request in winter), and a furnished terrace, as well as two bedrooms. The Woodland Homes have a living/dining area with a kitchen (equipped with microwave, stove, kettle, coffee machine, refrigerator, and dishwasher). The bedrooms offer 1 double bed and 2 single beds (approx. 35m², WM0).

Entertainment

Experience the tropics right in the heart of Germany! The unique tropical, wellness, and bathing landscape offers an unforgettable experience.
Across approximately 66,000 m², you'll find the world's largest indoor rainforest, Europe's largest tropical sauna landscape, the South Sea with a 200m sandy beach, and many more superlatives.
With a temperature of around 26°C, you can relax in a deckchair 365 days a year, feel the fine sand between your toes, and enjoy the evening twilight on the beach. Or explore the South Sea, as large as three Olympic swimming pools with a pleasant water temperature of 28°C.
The children's paradise, the Tropino Kids Club, with its go-kart track and many other play facilities, will make children's eyes sparkle. A mini-golf course (for a fee) and Germany's highest water slide tower offer unique entertainment and sporting challenges.

AMAZONIA, the year-round outdoor area of Tropical Islands. The main attractions, besides the pool landscape, are the Whitewater River, Germany's longest whitewater rapids, and: Pororoca, the surf simulator.
From the end of October, the outdoor area AMAZONIA transitions to winter operation (limited use; Monday-Sunday 11 AM-5:45 PM; subject to change). The all-year-round pool and the Whitewater River will be available during the modified hours. All other outdoor attractions are closed until summer operation.
From April 5th - September 30th, 2025, summer operation is in effect (Monday-Sunday 10 AM-7:45 PM. Opening hours may vary due to weather conditions).

Spanning over 35,000 square meters, there are water attractions with a total surface area of 1,350 square meters, extensive sunbathing areas for over 2,500 guests, numerous facilities for sports activities, and catering.
The portal of an Inca temple forms the themed passage from the hall to the outdoor area Tropical Islands AMAZONIA.
Here, a real adventure awaits guests: Germany's longest current channel, the Whitewater River. The current channel winds over 250 meters with branches and varying gradients, a height difference of up to 3.5 meters, through the landscape.

A pool of 530 square meters with various bubble and massage loungers, neck showers, a cascade shower, and a massage station offers relaxation for wellness fans. Various water features, such as geysers, a whirlpool mountain, or a floor bubble system, provide bathing fun for both young and old. While children train their balance on the skill course, adults can relax and float through the Lazy River current channel.
In another pool, visitors can engage in sports activities. With a water surface of 390 square meters, there are three 25-meter lanes, swing grottos, a waterfall, a wide wave slide, and two rain gates, which are perfect for a lively water polo match.
All pools and the Whitewater River are heated to a temperature of approximately 31 degrees Celsius.
In the Spray Area, equipped with fun and splashy water games, younger guests will have a blast, while parents can relax in the adjacent Relax Pool, keeping a close eye on their offspring.
The outdoor area is nestled within a dune landscape. In addition to sunbathing areas, there is also a surf simulator (for a fee) and sports areas. This includes a beach soccer field, whose dimensions comply with official competition guidelines. Another sports field can be divided as needed and used for beach volleyball, for example.

"Discover Diving" Taster Course
Taster dive in the South Sea
> Diving is a natural part of the South Sea: Experience weightless underwater adventures. The program will teach you the first steps to the world of diving. Breathing underwater is an experience you will never forget!
*Times: Daily at 1 PM
*Included services: Diving practice, diving equipment for the duration of participation, learning materials, theory and practice by an experienced PADI IDC Staff Instructor, and a recognized certificate upon successful completion.

> The whole family can embark on a journey through the tropical airspace in a basket balloon at a height of approximately 15 meters.

Things get splashy: at the new water playground Jungle Splash! Covering over 650 square meters and with a total height of over 15 meters, 8 slides, and many additional play opportunities, it is one of the largest in Germany.
And the best part: parents can slide too. Over 300 meters of slides guarantee endless water fun!
