Location

The island of Meeru is located on the eastern outer reef of the North Male Atoll. With a length of approx. 1,200 m and a width of approx. 350 m, Meeru Island Resort is situated on the largest island of the atoll. The island can be reached from the airport by speedboat in less than an hour. The nearest snorkelling spots are about 50-150 m away. The house reef is located off the coast of the island.

Facilities

The hotel complex consists of a total of 282 rooms. Among the main attractions are the large lagoon and the dreamlike white sandy beaches that completely surround the island. The resort features an open, tastefully designed reception area with a reception, souvenir shop, a photo studio "Meeru Moments" and two separate spa areas (one in an idyllic garden setting and the second directly over the water with a glass floor). Culinary highlights include six bars and six restaurants that invite you to linger. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the buffet restaurants "Maalan" (adults-only area) and "Farivalhu". You also have the option to choose from four different à la carte restaurants. The "Asian Wok" offers a variety of modern Asian cuisine and also features a Teppanyaki grill, which complements the offering. The "The Reef" restaurant invites you on a culinary journey of a different kind; here, Meeru spoils you with steaks and seafood, which can also be prepared at your table. Two large swimming pools (one of them adults-only) complete the island's extensive offerings and invite you to relax (sun loungers, beach towels and cushions included).

Accommodation

Garden Bungalow

The 20 modern, U-shaped terraced bungalows are approx. 50 m² in size and tastefully furnished, with a bathroom with rain shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), safe, seating area and a covered wooden terrace (G2B/G1B).

Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, but larger at 56m², it also features a semi-open bathroom and is located in the tropical vegetation towards the beach, with a view of the lagoon (2BV/1BV).

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, but larger at 80 m², more spacious and comfortably furnished with a private open-air jacuzzi area (bookable for ages 18 and over, (2JV)).

Water Front Villa

With the same amenities as the Jacuzzi Beach Villas, this 60 m² villa also features two sinks and is located directly on the beach, even closer to the water (bookable for ages 18 and over, (WFZ/WFS)).

Jacuzzi Water Villa

Larger than the Water Front villas (approx. 85 m²) and built on stilts over the lagoon, with a private sun deck, seating area, and loungers with direct access to the sea (bookable for ages 18 and over, (JW2)).

Ocean Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Jacuzzi Water Villa, the Ocean Villa is located on the north side of the island. (Bookable for ages 18 and over (2OV)).

Beach Pool Villa

With a size of approx. 86m², the Beach Pool Villas feature a spacious bedroom and a semi-open bathroom with an outdoor bathtub. The villas also have a private pool and sun terrace and are located directly on the beach on the sunset side. (VPZ) The following amenities are also included:
- a floating breakfast
- free shisha in selected bars
- Host service
- Dine-around at Maalan & Farivalhu (subject to availability/advance reservation)
- Delicacies from the chef upon arrival and during turn-down service
- Daily complimentary selection of Nespresso capsules

All Inclusive Plus

All meals are served buffet-style in the respective main restaurant. For stays in the southern part of the island in the "Maalan" restaurant and in the northern part in the "Farivalhu" restaurant. Breakfast is served from 7:30 AM to 10 AM, lunch from 12:30 PM to 2 PM, and dinner from 7 PM to 9 PM, with afternoon tea, cake, and snacks also available. Dinner can also be enjoyed as a 3-course set menu at the "Asian Wok", "A-Mare", or "The Reef" restaurants (reservations required).
Selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, and various spirits) are included. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (mineral water, soft drinks, beer, house wine, iced coffee, and iced tea) are included in the minibar with daily replenishment.
All sports enthusiasts can look forward to free instruction in golf on the driving range, windsurfing, or snorkelling, each with full equipment included (limited time and subject to availability). Furthermore, kayaks, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, billiards, snooker, darts, yoga, and football are at your disposal. As a highlight, the Meeru team invites you to a unique and exciting "Sunset Cruise" where you can enjoy the Indian Ocean on one of the resort's yachts (bookable subject to availability, changes reserved).

Wellness

"Duniye Spas" offering massages and various treatments, all for a fee. One of the spas is located in the garden, and the other is on stilts over the sea. The treatments and massages are identical; only the location and the view from the spas differ.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be 1 or 2 large beds available in total. Consequently, it may happen that for 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child has to sleep in the parents' bed.

Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), and currently most domestic flights, only operate during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male (near the airport) may be necessary.
