Location

This beautiful resort is located at the beginning of the Khao Lak National Park, set on a hillside (due to the hillside location, many areas on the property are connected by stairs), directly on the beautiful, quiet sandy beach of Khao Lak. The town center of Khao Lak is approximately a 10-minute drive away. The transfer time from Phuket Airport is approximately 60 minutes.

Facilities

This very well-maintained and attractive Thai-style hotel, set in an extensive tropical garden, consists of a total of 236 rooms. The 2 to 3-story buildings are grouped around 4 pool landscapes within the garden and are accessible via wooden bridges and arcade walkways. Within the grounds, there is a spa pool, a separate children's pool, and an outdoor freshwater pool. Sun loungers and parasols are available for you to use free of charge. A restaurant and several bars are part of the resort's facilities to cater to your culinary needs.

Superior Double Room

The Superior rooms are modernly furnished with a shower, bathtub, toilet, hairdryer, telephone, air conditioning, minibar, coffee/tea maker, safe, satellite TV, and a balcony or terrace facing the garden (DSU).
Available for single use at an extra charge (DEU).

Deluxe Double Room

With the same amenities as the Superior double rooms, these rooms feature a shower and a separate bathtub (DD2).
Available for single use at an extra charge (DD1).

Double Waterfall Pool Access

With the same amenities as the Deluxe rooms, these are more spacious and offer direct access to the pool (OAD).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children.
Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types.

Breakfast is served in buffet form. If half-board is booked, lunch is à la carte or dinner is served buffet-style or as a set menu.

The hotel offers a daily American breakfast buffet. Daily à la carte lunch. Daily dinner is also served buffet-style or via menu selection. Snacks as well as cake/pastries are available at any time, however, for a fee. Selected non-alcoholic drinks and selected international alcoholic drinks are available during the respective opening hours of the bars. Upon request, the hotel offers a candlelight dinner for a fee (set menu).

In Thailand, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. When occupying a room with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it is possible that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children are in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
