Saturday: Departure from Germany to Bangkok
Day 1 (Sunday) BANGKOK:
Arrival in Bangkok and transfer to the hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 2 (Monday) BANGKOK:

Suggested program: "Bangkok Highlight Tour"
The tour combines the highlights of Bangkok with the most important cultural sights of the city. Visits include the Temple of the Golden Buddha (Wat Trimitr), the Reclining Buddha at Wat Pho, and the Emerald Buddha at Wat Phra Kaew, including the Royal Palace. After lunch, a traditional boat trip takes you through the canals of outer Bangkok to the impressive Wat Arun, the famous Temple of Dawn. (Excursions not included in the price)

Day 3 (Tuesday) BANGKOK-AYUTTHAYA-SUKHOTHAI:
From Bangkok, the journey first leads to Ayutthaya, the former capital of the Kingdom of Siam and a current UNESCO World Heritage site. There, visitors will find impressive temple ruins, including Wat Mongkol Borpith with its huge bronze statue, as well as Wat Phra Si Sanphet, once the most important temple of the historical royal city. Afterward, the journey continues to the Ang Thong province, where the 84-meter-high "Big Buddha of Ang Thong," the largest sitting Buddha statue in Thailand, can be seen. Another highlight is the imposing, 50-meter-long reclining Buddha at Wat Khun Inthapramun. The route then leads through the rural landscapes of Central Thailand to Sukhothai, the first capital of the Kingdom of Siam, where the overnight stay takes place.

Day 4 (Wednesday) SUKHOTHAI-CHIANG MAI:
After breakfast, the journey leads to the historical park of Sukhothai, the first capital of Thailand and a current UNESCO World Heritage site. Amidst impressive temple ruins and lovingly restored monuments, the park's highlights are visited, including Wat Mahathat, Wat Sa Si, and Wat Si Sawai. Exploration is done comfortably by park train or optionally by bicycle. Afterward, the journey continues to the historically significant Si Satchanalai Historical Park, another important testament to early Thai culture. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Chiang Mai, where the day ends in a relaxed manner and the overnight stay takes place at the hotel. Optionally, in the evening, you can visit the city's famous night markets (not included in the price).

Day 5 (Thursday) CHIANG MAI:
This day is at leisure.
Optionally, you can participate in an elephant welfare program, where rescued and elderly elephants can be observed in a natural environment and accompanied during their care. The focus is on the welfare of the animals – elephant riding is deliberately avoided. In the afternoon, a city tour of Chiang Mai can be undertaken, which leads to the city's most important temples, including Wat Phra Singh and Wat Suan Dok, as well as the mountain-top Wat Phra That Doi Suthep. From here, there is an impressive view over the city and the surrounding landscape (excursions not included in the price).

Day 6 (Friday) CHIANG MAI-PHITSANULOK:
After breakfast, further cultural highlights of Northern Thailand are on the program. In Chiang Mai, the extraordinary temple Wat Jed Yod with its seven characteristic chedis as well as the traditional Warorot Market, known for its local specialties and authentic atmosphere, are visited. Afterward, the journey continues to Lampang, where Wat Phra That Lampang Luang, one of the most important temples in the country, is visited. This houses one of the few Emerald Buddhas of Thailand outside of Bangkok. In the afternoon, the journey continues to Phitsanulok, where the day ends in a relaxed manner and the overnight stay takes place at the hotel.

Day 7 (Saturday) PHITSANULOK-KANCHANABURI:
Today's day first leads to the cultural highlights of Phitsanulok. On the program are the significant Wat Mahathat as well as the traditional Buranathai Buddha Foundry, which offers exciting insights into the centuries-old art of crafting Buddha statues. Afterward, the journey continues to Kanchanaburi. There, visitors await the world-famous Bridge over the River Kwai, which is closely linked to the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway built during the Second World War. On a walk along the so-called Death Railway, impressive testimonies of this eventful past become visible. The evening is at leisure and invites you to relax at the hotel.

Day 8 (Sunday) KANCHANBURI-PETCHABURI-CHA-AM
At 7 a.m. check-out at the hotel and drive to Samut Songkhram.
Authentic insights into the traditional life of Thailand await travelers in the Samut Songkhram province. A highlight is the famous Floating Market of Damnoen Saduak, where merchants offer their goods directly from their boats. During a ride on a long-tail boat, impressive impressions of the lively market activity and everyday life along the canals are revealed. Afterward, the unique Maeklong Railway Market is on the program, whose sales stalls are set up directly on the train tracks and are cleared away in seconds whenever a train passes through.

Accordingly, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
