The Siddhalepa Ayurveda Health Resort in Wadduwa combines over 200 years of Ayurveda tradition with a quiet beach location and a spacious, tropical garden. The approximately 50 rooms are situated in low-rise buildings that are grouped harmoniously around the freshwater pool, creating a relaxed atmosphere. The open-plan lobby with reception already conveys the quiet, local ambiance of the resort. Further facilities include a freshwater pool with a sun terrace, a small fitness area, a library, and an Ayurveda product shop. A dedicated yoga pavilion offers the perfect setting for yoga and meditation sessions. In the garden, a walking path invites guests to discover various herbs and medicinal plants. The centerpiece is the Ayurveda center, which, thanks to its close connection to the resort's own Siddhalepa Ayurveda Hospital, is led by qualified doctors and therapists. Treatments are based on a detailed initial consultation, including dosha determination, and are individually adjusted during the stay. Traditional treatments such as Abhyanga oil massages, Shirodhara forehead oil treatments, herbal poultices, herbal steam baths, and Ayurvedic saunas are used, complemented by yoga and meditation to promote inner balance. According to the resort, it is the only one in Sri Lanka directly connected to an Ayurveda hospital. The holistic Ayurveda concept also takes center stage in the culinary offerings. Vegetarian, Ayurvedic, and, upon request, corresponding diet meals are offered in the air-conditioned main restaurant. The diet is based on the individual recommendations of the Ayurveda doctors and focuses on herbs, spices, and fresh ingredients to support cleansing, regeneration, and inner balance during the cure. In suitable weather, an open-plan beach restaurant with a sea view complements the gastronomic offerings. For further small timeouts, the Elixir Bar with traditional herbal teas, tonics, and Ayurvedic elixirs, as well as quiet retreat areas, are available alongside the pool and garden. Thus, the resort offers a holistic sanctuary where medically sound Ayurveda therapy, conscious nutrition, a natural environment, and soothing peace merge into a coherent wellness experience.
