Location

The luxurious resort is located directly in the northern part of the Vaavu Atoll. The island is surrounded by a dreamlike white sandy beach and a crystal-clear, turquoise lagoon. The transfer time from the airport in Male is approx. 75 minutes by speedboat. A seaplane transfer (approx. 25 minutes) can be booked for an additional charge.

Facilities

Your holiday resort promises a stay in a relaxed atmosphere. It has a total of 72 villas, located on land and on stilts over the water. Amenities include an open-plan reception area and a souvenir shop. Three restaurants and a bar cater to your culinary needs. These include the "Iru" main restaurant serving international cuisine, the "Washoku" restaurant featuring Japanese specialties and Teppanyaki, and the "Flame" overwater grill restaurant. For variety and relaxing hours, there is a swimming pool with a separate children's pool. Sun loungers, pool towels, and parasols are available free of charge here and on the beach.

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas are approx. 62 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes/slippers, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone, safe, minibar (for a fee), tea/coffee maker, and a furnished terrace. (2BV) Also available to book on the sunset side. (S2V)

Duplex Water Villa with private pool

With the same features as the Beach Villa, the Duplex Water Villa with private pool is larger (approx. 119 m²), two-story, and built on stilts over the lagoon. Additionally, the villas feature a living room and a private pool. (WXS)
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types for safety reasons.

Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as water, soft drinks, juices, beer, house wine, cocktails, and mocktails are available from 11 a.m. to midnight at the respective open bar. For stays of 5 nights or more, a three-course dinner at the "Washoku" restaurant is included.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it is possible that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed. Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island), as well as currently most domestic flights, only take place during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat at a later time.

In the Maldives, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
