Location

The resort, newly opened in October 2019 and belonging to the well-known Cinnamon group, is located in the tranquil Vaavu Atoll, 67 km from Male. The house reef and the best dive sites in the region are easily accessible from the 5-hectare island. The transfer time by speedboat is approx. 90 minutes. Transfer by seaplane (approx. 25 minutes) can be booked on request for an additional charge.

The family-friendly resort has a total of 90 rooms and bungalows, which are spread across the island and on stilts over the water. The facilities of the luxurious resort include an open reception area with a lobby and comfortable seating. For culinary delights, there is the main restaurant with international and national delicacies, as well as the à la carte restaurants, the "The Beach Grill" restaurant (reservation required) with fresh fish, the "Iru Kitchen & Bar" restaurant (reservation required) with Southeast Asian specialties, and three different bars. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and bath towels are available free of charge by the swimming pool.

Superior Beach Loft

Tastefully designed in natural tones and with natural materials, the Superior Beach Loft (approx. 79 sqm including outdoor area) offers a relaxing retreat directly on the beach. The loft is on the 2nd floor and, in addition to a dreamlike view of the turquoise blue water, features a toilet/shower (1st floor), hairdryer, bathrobe/slippers, air conditioning, ceiling fan, flat-screen TV, minibar (for a fee), and tea/coffee making facilities. Beach Bungalow

With the same amenities as the Superior Beach Loft (approx. 65 sqm including outdoor area), located on the ground floor of the two-story beach bungalows. These rooms offer direct access to the beach. (SBZ)

Water Bungalow

Same amenities as the Beach Bungalows, but larger (approx. 100 sqm) and with an additional bathtub. The rooms are built on stilts over the water with direct access to the sea. (2WB)

Speedboat: Operates for estimated arrivals/departures between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic flight: Operates for arrivals/departures between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Operates for arrivals/departures between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
The seaplane transfer may involve 1-2 intermediate landings.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended immigration waiting times (in such cases, our local agent will arrange for an intermediate overnight stay).
In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For a party of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it is possible that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Consequently, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, one child has to sleep in the parents' bed. Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), and currently most domestic flights, are only operated during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for locally (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat later.

In the Maldives, washbasins or even bathtubs/whirlpools may be openly integrated into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
