Location

The resort, approx. 800m long, is situated on the exotic island of "Emboodhu Finolhu", located directly in the heart of one of the largest and most impressive lagoons in the Maldives. The tropical island, with its magnificent flora and fauna, offers excellent opportunities for diving and swimming in dreamlike waters. The transfer time from the airport is approximately 15-20 minutes by speedboat.

The Taj Exotica Resort & Spa Maldives is located on a picturesque private island and offers an exclusive and quiet atmosphere with just 62 elegant villas. From a culinary perspective, the hotel offers several restaurants and bars. The "24 Degrees" restaurant serves Asian dishes, and the "Mediterraneo by Jeffrey Vella" offers Mediterranean cuisine. Additionally, snacks and drinks are served at the "Mediterraneo Waterfront" during lunchtime. Further amenities include the "Equator Bar", a library, a swimming pool and sun terrace, one of the most beautiful Maldivian spa areas, and a boutique. Sun loungers and parasols are available free of charge at the beach and by the pool.

Ocean Villa Sunrise

The Ocean Villas Sunrise are very generously furnished (approx. 71 m² incl. outdoor area) and built on stilts over the lagoon. Facilities include a bathroom/WC, bathrobes, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV with DVD player, telephone, safe, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, a furnished terrace, and direct access to the sea.

Water Villa with Pool

With the same facilities and location as the Sunrise Overwater Villa, these are even more spacious (approx. 94 m² incl. outdoor area) and additionally feature a private plunge pool and a daybed on the terrace.

Speedboat: Operated for expected arrivals/departures from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM // Domestic flight: Operated for expected arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM // Seaplane: Operated for expected arrivals/departures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 intermediate stops for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside of these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be a total of 1 or 2 large beds available. Consequently, when staying with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, it may occur that a child must sleep in the parents' bed.

All flight transfers as well as most boat transfers (depending on the island's location) are only carried out during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male (near the airport) may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat at a later time.

In the Maldives, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
