Location

The popular barefoot island is located in the South Ari Atoll and is quite long with a size of approximately 900m x 250m. The house reef, which is one of the most beautiful in the atoll, is ideal for diving and snorkeling. The transfer time from Malé International Airport by seaplane is approx. 25 minutes.

Facilities

The resort, renovated for winter 2026, is set amidst lush tropical vegetation and comprises a total of 184 villas spread across the island. Facilities include a reception area with seating, the "Vila Memories" photo studio, a business center, and a small shop. Culinary delights are offered by a total of four restaurants and four bars. These include the two main restaurants, "Funama Restaurant" and "Ahima Restaurant" (Adults Only), as well as the two à la carte restaurants, "Faru Restaurant" specializing in fish and seafood, and the "Asian Wok Restaurant" serving Asian cuisine. A relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed at the main pool with a separate children's pool or the adults-only infinity pool.

Tropical Villa

The Tropical Villas offer approx. 55 m² of living space and feature a semi-open bathroom with shower, toilet, hairdryer, air conditioning, ceiling fan, minibar (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, telephone, safe, and a furnished terrace facing the garden (T2R).

Beachfront Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Tropical Villas, the Beachfront Villas additionally offer a private terrace directly on the beach with sea views. (H2V).

Adjacent Beachfront Villa

With identical amenities to the Beachfront Villas, the Adjacent Beachfront Villas are not detached but consist of two adjoining villas each (ZX2).

Romantic Beachfront Villa

With the same amenities as the Beachfront Villas, the Romantic Beachfront Villas are more spacious (approx. 65 m²) and additionally feature a private bathtub. (RR2, Adults only, bookable for ages 18+).

Romantic Ocean Villa

The Romantic Ocean Villas (approx. 85 m²), with comparable amenities to the Beachfront Villas, are located directly over the water and feature private lagoon access. (ROZ, Adults only, bookable for ages 18+).

When booking a Tropical Villa, Beachfront Villa, or Adjacent Beachfront Villa, all meals are served in the "Funama" Restaurant.

Breakfast (7:30 AM – 10 AM), lunch (12:30 PM – 2 PM), and dinner (7 PM – 9 PM) served buffet-style in the assigned restaurants. A snack menu is available from 11 AM to 12:30 PM and 2:30 PM to 7 PM at the "Bonthi Bar" and "Sunset Bar" (Adults only). Selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages are served around the clock at the open bar. Daily replenishment of selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and snacks in the minibar.
Additionally, guests receive per stay:
- a small bottle of champagne (per room)
- a sunset cruise
- a visit to a local island (subject to change)
- 30 minutes of group snorkeling lessons per person (equipment not included)
- 30 minutes of group windsurfing lessons per person (equipment included)
- complimentary use of the fitness center, daytime use of volleyball and badminton courts, tennis and padel courts (1 hour daily), table tennis, billiards, darts, kayaks, windsurfing and football fields (equipment included), as well as complimentary yoga classes at the Duniye Spa.

Speedboat: Operates for estimated arrival/departure between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic (Domestic flight): Operates for arrivals/departures approximately between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Operates approximately for arrivals/departures between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may involve 1-2 intermediate stops.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs incurred are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions apply to changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended immigration waiting times (in such cases, our local agency will arrange for any necessary overnight stays).
All flight transfers, as well as most boat transfers (depending on the island's location), are only operated during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Malé (near the airport) may be necessary.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be 1 or 2 large beds available in total. Consequently, it is possible that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child may have to sleep in the parents' bed.
