Location

The Alila Kothaifaru Maldives is situated on a lush, private island of approximately 11.2 hectares, nestled within the idyllic Raa Atoll. Its location on the western edge of the atoll lends the resort a particularly serene and exclusive atmosphere. Guests can expect a virtually unspoiled natural landscape with powdery white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and tropical vegetation. The Raa Atoll is renowned for its impressive underwater world. Numerous first-class diving and snorkeling spots with colorful coral formations, vibrant reefs, and a fascinating diversity of marine life are found around the island. Directly off the coast is also the resort's own house reef, easily accessible from the beach, offering ideal conditions for spontaneous snorkeling excursions. Transfer is by seaplane (approx. 45 minutes).

The island features 81 villas spread across the entire island, both on land and over the water. Facilities include a 24-hour reception, a boutique, a souvenir shop, and an air-conditioned library on the beach. For culinary delights, there are 5 restaurants and bars. The main restaurant, "Seasalt," is located directly on the beach and serves Mediterranean dishes, fish and seafood, as well as vegan options daily à la carte. The specialty restaurant "Umami" offers Japanese cuisine and fish/seafood, also located directly on the beach. "Pibati Sul Mare" serves Italian dishes such as pizza and pasta. For snacks, cool refreshments, and a selection of Portuguese and Arabic-inspired cocktails and fine wines, the Mirus Bar is available. Asian-inspired cocktails, mocktails, shakes, and spirits can be found at the Yakitori Bar. For romantic excursions, a visit to the private sandbank "The Shack," which also houses a restaurant, is recommended. Umbrellas, sun loungers with mattresses, and beach towels are available free of charge at the swimming pools and on the beach.

Beach Pool Villa

The Beach Pool Villas (approx. 202 sqm) are located directly on the beach with sunrise views. These villas also feature the same amenities.
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Sunset Beach Pool Villa

The Sunset Beach Pool Villas (approx. 202 sqm) are located directly on the beach on the sunrise side and can also be booked on the sunset side for an additional charge. They feature an indoor and outdoor shower and bathtub, air conditioning, safe, coffee/tea maker, kettle, TV, free Wi-Fi, and a hairdryer. A terrace with a lounger and seating area, as well as a private pool, is also available. (S2V)

Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa

Ocean Pool Villa

The Ocean Pool Villas (approx. 125 sqm) also have the same amenities as the previous ones and are built on stilts on the ocean side. They can also be booked on the sunset side for an additional charge.

Two-Bedroom Beach Pool Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Pool Villa, the Two Bedroom Beach Pool Villa is larger (approx. 265 sqm) and features an additional bedroom and bathroom.

Breakfast buffet style. For half board bookings, daily breakfast and lunch or dinner at the Seasalt restaurant are included. For full board, you also have the option to enjoy lunch at Pibati, and water is included with lunch and dinner.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may involve 1-2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended immigration waiting times (in which case our local agency will arrange for an overnight stay).
