Location

The Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is located in the North Male Atoll on the 800 m long and 300 m wide island of Furanafushi, featuring beautiful white sandy beaches and tropical vegetation. Due to short transfer times and a wide variety of leisure activities on the island, it is perfect for Maldives first-timers, honeymooners, and families. Male airport is approximately 15 minutes away by speedboat.

Facilities

The beautifully landscaped resort features a reception area with seating and various island boutiques. Dining options include the main restaurant "Feast" offering international specialties in buffet style, the Thai restaurant "Baan Thai", the à la carte restaurant "Sea Salt" specializing in steak and seafood, "Masala Hut" with Indian specialties, "ChopstiX" with Asian specialties, and the "Kakuni Hut" beach restaurant. Several bars offer cool refreshments. Embedded in the tropical outdoor area is a freshwater pool with sun terraces.

Deluxe Room

The 28 total rooms with thatched roofs (45m²) are generously appointed, located in the garden in 1-story bungalows, and feature a new, modern design. Amenities include a bathroom with tub/shower/WC, individually adjustable air conditioning or ceiling fan, 40-inch LCD TV with international channels and CD player, safe, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), and balcony or terrace with wooden furniture and a hammock swing. Island Cottage

The spacious, detached Island Cottages built in the local style offer plenty of space at 76m². These luxurious rooms feature the same amenities as the Deluxe rooms, but with the addition of a semi-open bathroom with an outdoor shower and enchanting views of the lush garden. (JCZ)

Offers the same size and amenities as the Deluxe rooms, with direct beach access. (B2D)

BB/HB/FB

Extensive breakfast buffet.
For guests booked on half-board (HB), dinner is included as a buffet in "Feast" or alternatively as a 3-course menu in the specialty restaurants "Anchorage", "ChopstiX", or "Masala Hut"; non-alcoholic drinks are included with meals. A surcharge applies to selected food and drinks. When dining at "Baan Thai" and "Sea Salt", a dinner credit of $45 per person is applied.
For guests booked on full-board (FB), the following is included: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast is served as a buffet in "Feast". For lunch, guests have the option to dine at "ChopstiX", "Anchorage", "Kakuni Hut", or "Masala Hut" (as a 3-course menu, subject to availability). Dinner is served as a buffet in "Feast", or alternatively, guests can enjoy an extensive 3-course menu in one of these specialty restaurants: "Anchorage", "ChopstiX", or "Masala Hut". A surcharge applies to selected items. When dining at "Baan Thai" and "Sea Salt", a surcharge of $45 per person is applied. Furthermore, guests are entitled to non-alcoholic beverages during meals.

Extensive breakfast buffet. Lunch and dinner can be taken as a buffet in the main restaurant or à la carte in "ChopstiX", "Anchorage", or "Masala Hut" restaurant. When dining at "Baan Thai" and "Sea Salt", a dinner credit of $60 per person is applied. In addition, selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks (soft drinks, juices, wine, beer, and cocktails) are included from 10:00 AM to midnight at the respective open bar.

Independent transfer information:
Speedboat: Operation for expected arrival/departure from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM // Domestic flight: Operation for expected arrivals/departures from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1–2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in which case our local agency will take care of any necessary overnight stay).

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be a total of 1 or 2 large beds available. Accordingly, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children are in one room, one child must sleep in the parents' bed.

Travel information

All flight transfers and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island) are only carried out during the day. Therefore, an overnight stay in Male (near the airport) may be necessary.

The baggage limit for seaplanes is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 5 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered by boat.

In the Maldives, sinks or even bathtubs/whirlpools can be integrated openly into the general living area of the hotel room without spatial separation.
