Location

The exotic island, lined with tall palm trees, is approximately 300 x 200 meters in size and is located in the southern part of the North Male Atoll. It is known for its excellent cuisine, white sandy beach, and turquoise lagoon. The house reef is about 60 meters away. The transfer time from Male Airport is approximately 25 minutes by speedboat.

Facilities

The small island offers a relaxed atmosphere and a paradisiacal holiday feeling. Facilities include a semi-open reception, a restaurant, a rustic bar (both with sand floors), a jeweler and souvenir shop, and a small infinity pool with a terrace (sun loungers and bath towels included).

Accommodation

Beach Bungalow

The rooms are friendly furnished, approximately 53 sq m in size, and feature a bathroom with a bathtub, a separate outdoor shower, shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobe, air conditioning, satellite TV, safe, refrigerator, coffee/tea maker, and a furnished terrace (SBZ/SEB/RSB). The resort has detached bungalows and also two adjacent bungalows (can only be requested as a customer preference, not guaranteed).

Water Bungalow

With the same amenities as the Beach Bungalows, but slightly larger (approx. 56 sq m), these rooms have a terrace with direct access to the lagoon, but no open shower (2WB/1WB/3WB). Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Superior Water Bungalow

With similar amenities to the Water Bungalow, these are significantly more spacious (approx. 78 sq m) and feature a more luxurious bathroom and a large open shower (WB2/WB3). Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

Meals

Half board includes breakfast and dinner in buffet style. Full board includes lunch in addition. With Half Board Plus, guests receive breakfast and dinner in buffet style, plus a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks from 8 AM to midnight. Between 0:00 AM and 7:30 AM, the booked meal service is not available; food and drinks must be paid for on-site during this time. The meal service ends at 12 PM on the day of departure.

Breakfast, lunch, and dinner in buffet style. Afternoon snacks, coffee, and tea. Selected national and international drinks, juices, house wine, cocktails, and mocktails are served by the glass from 8 AM to midnight. Between 0:00 AM and 7:30 AM, the booked meal service is not available; food and drinks must be paid for on-site during this time. The meal service ends at 12 PM on the day of departure. Additionally, guests receive complimentary snorkeling equipment and one excursion (half-day island trip or snorkeling tour).

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may involve 1-2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended waiting times during immigration (in such cases, our local agency will arrange for a possible overnight stay).
In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it is possible that only one or two large beds are available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children in one room, a child has to sleep in the parents' bed.
