Location

Meeru Island is located on the eastern outer reef of the North Male Atoll. With a length of approx. 1,200 m and a width of approx. 350 m, the Meeru Island Resort is situated on the largest island in the atoll. From the airport, the island can be reached by speedboat in less than an hour. The nearest snorkeling spots are about 50–150 m away. The house reef is located off the island.

Facilities

Large hotel pool with sun loungers and palm trees in a tropical setting.
The hotel complex consists of a total of 282 rooms. Main attractions include the large lagoon and the dreamlike white sandy beaches that completely surround the island. The resort features an open, tastefully designed lobby area with a reception, a souvenir shop, a "Meeru Moments" photo studio, and two separate spa areas (one in an idyllic garden setting and the second directly over the water with a glass floor). Culinary highlights include six bars and six restaurants that invite you to linger. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in the buffet restaurants "Maalan" (adults-only area) and "Farivalhu". Furthermore, you have the opportunity to choose from a selection of four different à la carte restaurants. "Asian Wok" offers varied, modern Asian cuisine and includes a Teppanyaki grill, which further complements the offerings. The "The Reef" restaurant invites you on a culinary journey of a different kind; here, Meeru spoils you with steaks and seafood, which can also be prepared directly at your table. Two large swimming pools (one of which is for adults only) round off the island's extensive offering and invite you to relax (sun loungers, beach towels, and pads included).

Garden Room

The 20 modern, U-shaped terraced bungalows are approx. 50 m² in size and tastefully furnished, bathroom with rain shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, telephone, TV, coffee/tea maker, minibar (for a fee), safe, seating area, and covered wooden terrace (G2B/G1B).

Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Garden Bungalows, these 56 m² villas additionally feature a semi-open bathroom and are located in the tropical vegetation facing the beach with a view of the lagoon (2BV/1BV).

Jacuzzi Beach Villa

With the same amenities as the Beach Villas, these 80 m² villas are more spacious and comfortably furnished with a private open-air whirlpool area (bookable for ages 18 and up, (2JV)).

Water Front Villa

With the same amenities as the Jacuzzi Beach Villas, these 60 m² villas additionally feature two sinks and are located directly on the beach, even closer to the water (bookable for ages 18 and up, (WFZ/WFS)).

Jacuzzi Water Villa

With the same amenities as the Water Front villas but larger (approx. 85 m²) and built on stilts over the lagoon, featuring a private sun deck, seating area, and loungers with direct access to the sea (bookable for ages 18 and up, (JW2)).

Ocean Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Jacuzzi Water Villa, the Ocean Villa is located in the north of the island (bookable for ages 18 and up, (2OV)).

Beach Pool Villa

With a size of approx. 86 m², the Beach Pool Villas feature a spacious bedroom as well as a semi-open bathroom with an outdoor bathtub. The villas also have a private pool and sun terrace and are located on the sunset side directly on the beach. (VPZ) Additionally, the following amenities are included:
- a Floating Breakfast
- free shisha in selected bars
- Host service
- Dine-around in Maalan & Farivalhu (subject to availability/advance reservation)
- Treats from the chef upon arrival and at turn-down service
- Daily complimentary selection of Nespresso capsules
- 20% discount on a one-hour spa treatment during the first two days
- Free use of the golf putting green, the boat excursion to the house reef (equipment not included), and bicycles (max. two)
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for small children. Therefore, for safety reasons, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children when booking these room types.

All Inclusive Plus

All meals are served in buffet form in the respective main restaurant. Guests staying in the southern part of the island are served in the "Farivalhu" restaurant, and those in the northern part in the "Maalan" restaurant. Breakfast is served from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., lunch from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., and dinner from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., in addition to afternoon tea, cake, and snacks. Dinner can optionally be taken as a 3-course set menu in the "Asian Wok", "A-Mare", or "The Reef" restaurant (reservation required).
Selected local alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (mineral water, soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, tea, beer, wine, cocktails, and various spirits) are included. Selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (mineral water, soft drinks, beer, house wine, iced coffee, and iced tea) in the minibar are included with daily replenishment.
All sports-enthusiastic visitors can enjoy complimentary golf lessons on the driving range, windsurfing, or snorkeling, each with full equipment included (limited in time and subject to availability). Furthermore, kayaks, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, billiards, snooker, darts, yoga, and football are at your disposal. As a highlight, the Meeru team invites you to a unique and eventful "Sunset Cruise", where you can enjoy the Indian Ocean on one of the resort's yachts (bookable subject to availability, subject to change).

Sports included

Wellness

"Duniye Spas" with massages and various treatments, each for a fee. One of the spas is located in the garden, and one is on stilts over the sea. The treatments and massages are identical; only the location and view of the spas differ.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
There may be 1–2 stopovers for seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Male must be booked in advance. The costs for this must be borne by the guest. Exceptions are changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or longer waiting times upon entry (in these cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Children under 18 years are not permitted in the Jacuzzi Beach Villa, Water Front Villa, and Jacuzzi Water Villa accommodations.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. With an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total.
