Location

The resort is located southeast of the Lhaviyani Atoll on the island of Thilamaafushi. The 9-hectare island is home to unique flora and fauna. The transfer time from the airport is 35 minutes by seaplane.

The resort has a total of 134 villas. Facilities include a 24-hour reception and a souvenir shop. There are six different restaurants and bars to cater to your culinary needs, including "Tabemasu" with traditional Japanese cuisine, the "Waves" cafe, or the "La Vie Bar" (adults only, 18+) with sunset views. There are two swimming pools, one of which is an adults-only pool. Umbrellas, sun loungers with mattresses, and beach towels are available free of charge at the swimming pools and on the beach.

Accommodation

Beach Villa

The Beach Villas are approximately 82m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, telephone, satellite TV, minibar (partially at a charge), safe, coffee/tea maker, and a terrace with seating (2BV). Optionally, they can also be booked with a private pool as a Beach Pool Villa (VPZ).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for bookings of these room types, schauinsland-reisen has a minimum age of 6 years for children for safety reasons.

Ocean Villa Sunrise

The villas are approximately 100m² in size and, with the same amenities as the Beach Villas, additionally feature a bathtub, a hammock directly over the water, and direct sea access (2OR). For an additional charge, they can also be booked on the sunset side (2OT).

Lagoon Villa

With the same amenities and size as the Ocean Villa Sunrise, the Lagoon Villas are located directly on the first beachfront and feature direct beach access. The hammock is positioned over the beach (LV2).

Breakfast/Half Board/Full Board

Breakfast served buffet-style at the Turquoise Restaurant. For half board, dinner is also served buffet-style at the Turquoise, or as a set menu at the Velaa Bar+Grill Restaurant.
For full board, lunch or dinner is served buffet-style at the Turquoise, or as a set menu at the Velaa Bar+Grill or Riviera Tapas (adults only) restaurant. Additionally, non-alcoholic drinks and minibar snacks are replenished daily. Designated drinks are included during meals.

Hotel-independent transfer information:
Speedboat: Operation for expected arrival/departure between 5 AM and 11 PM // Domestic flight: Operation for arrivals/departures between 9:30 AM and 4 PM // Seaplane: Operation expected for arrivals/departures between 9 AM and 3 PM.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfer are possible.
Seaplane transfers may involve 1-2 stops.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions apply for changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or extended immigration waiting times (in these cases, our local agent will arrange for any necessary overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on island location) and currently also most domestic flights only operate during daylight hours. Therefore, an overnight stay in Malé may be necessary.
