Location

Located on the inhabited island of Hanimadhoo, in the Haa Dhaalu Atoll, in the still largely pristine northern part of the Maldives. The transfer time by domestic flight is approx. 45 minutes, followed by a 15-minute transfer from the airport to the hotel. Occasionally, domestic flights land in Kulhudhuffushi, after which a speedboat transfer is arranged (approx. 30 minutes).

The ECO barefoot hotel features 64 rooms and 5 heritage villas spread across single-story bungalows, each with 4-10 units. The special "barefoot" hotel concept is inspired by ecotourism. Further hotel facilities include a reception area and a boutique with an on-site tailor. The main restaurant treats guests to breathtaking sea views and Mediterranean, Oriental, and international cuisine. Next to the restaurant is the bar, which invites guests to linger with a cool drink and a magnificent view. There is also a floating bar where alcoholic beverages are available. Surrounded by coconut palms, you will find the 25-meter-long swimming pool. Sun loungers, parasols, and bath towels are included at the pool and private beach.

Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
Seaplane transfers may include 1–2 stopovers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. Costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions include changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times upon entry (in which case our local agency will assist with a potential overnight stay).

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, there may only be 1 or 2 large beds available. Consequently, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children occupy a room, a child must sleep in the parents' bed.
