Location

The resort is located in the South Nilandhe Atoll, approx. 145 km south of Male, directly on a beautiful sandy beach. An outer reef, ideal for diving and snorkeling, is only approx. 30m away. The transfer time from Male airport is approx. 40 minutes by seaplane.

Facilities

Spread across an island approximately 390m long and 170m wide, there are 62 detached beach villas and 91 water bungalows, 50 of which were newly built in 2026. Facilities include an open-air lobby with reception area and seating, as well as a souvenir shop, a boutique, and a jeweler. Guests' dining needs are catered for by one main restaurant and two à-la-carte restaurants, a wine cellar, a pool bar, and the main over-water bar, which was renovated in 2025. Sun loungers, parasols, and beach towels are included at the infinity pool.

Pool Beach Villa

The approx. 78 m² (including outdoor area) pool villas feature stylish white interiors and a tropical color scheme. The villas are equipped with a semi-open bathroom, bathtub and separate outdoor shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, TV, safe, minibar (for a fee), and a private sun deck with a Maldivian swing, a large pool, and sea views (VPZ).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types for safety reasons.

Beach Villa with Pool

These villas offer similar amenities to the pool villas but are slightly smaller (76 m²) and additionally feature a Maldivian swing on the sun deck (D2V). Also available to book with a private Jacuzzi on the terrace of the semi-open bathroom for an extra charge (J2Y).
Rooms with direct pool/sea access present an increased safety risk for young children. Therefore, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for children booked into these room types for safety reasons.

Reef Villa

The Reef Villas offer similar amenities to the pool villas but are slightly more spacious (approx. 78m² including outdoor area) with an enclosed bathroom on the sun deck, and are built on stilts over the water (R2V).

All meals served buffet-style in the main restaurant "The Aqua". Lunch and dinner can alternatively be enjoyed à-la-carte in selected restaurants. Coffee and tea in the afternoon from 3 pm to 6 pm at "Positive Energy", plus selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks such as soft drinks, juices, house wine, cocktails, etc., at the 24/7 Nautilus Bar. Additionally, daily replenishment of the minibar with soft drinks and beer.
Includes 1x per person per stay either a Dolphin Sunset Cruise or a visit to a local island.

Sports included

Fully equipped fitness center, tennis, badminton, volleyball, snorkeling equipment, table tennis, and darts. Non-motorized water sports (e.g., stand-up paddleboarding and kayaking) are free of charge for one hour daily.

Speedboat: Scheduled for arrivals/departures between 5 am and 11 pm // Domestic flight: Scheduled for arrivals/departures between 9:30 am and 4 pm // Seaplane: Scheduled for arrivals/departures between 9 am and 3 pm.
Waiting times of 3 hours or more for onward transfers are possible.
There may be 1–2 intermediate stops during seaplane transfers.
For arrivals/departures outside these times, an overnight stay in Malé must be booked in advance. The costs for this are to be borne by the guest. Exceptions apply for changes due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration (in such cases, our local agency will take care of a potential overnight stay).
Seaplane flights and most boat transfers (depending on the location of the island), as well as most current domestic flights, only operate during daylight hours. Consequently, an overnight stay in Male may be necessary.

The baggage allowance for seaplanes/domestic flights is 20 kg + 3 kg of hand luggage per person. Excess baggage must be paid for on-site (approx. 7 USD per kg). Excess baggage is usually delivered later by boat.

In the Maldives, most rooms are equipped with one or two queen/king-size beds. When occupying a room with 2 adults + 1 or 2 children, it may be that only 1 or 2 large beds are available in total. Accordingly, it may happen that when 2 adults + 1 or 2 children share a room, one child must sleep in the parents' bed.
