Restrictions due to Balinese holiday Nyepi

The "Nyepi Day", also known as the "Day of Silence", is the most important holiday in Bali. During this period (24 hours), strict rules apply that severely restrict tourism. The date is determined annually by the lunar calendar and usually falls in March. On the Day of Silence, arrival and departure are not possible, and the airport is closed.
