Oman Round Trip "Beyond the Classics"

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
During a guided tour, participants will get to know the cultural highlights of the Omani capital. In addition to important sights, the program includes a visit to the traditional district of Mutrah with its promenade and lively souk. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 3: Wadi Dayqah – Wakan
Today, the journey leads into the charming landscapes of the Omani hinterland. The reservoir of Wadi Dayqah impresses with its backdrop of rugged mountains, while the mountain village of Wakan, with its traditional terraced gardens and impressive views, offers an authentic insight into rural Oman. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 4: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
Along the coastal road, the journey first leads to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with crystal-clear water. Afterwards, Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, with their green oasis landscapes and spectacular rock formations, are on the program. After the included lunch, we continue to Sur. Overnight in Sur.

Day 5: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The journey first leads to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman. Turquoise natural pools and lush vegetation form a delightful contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, we continue into the Wahiba Sands with its vast dune landscapes. Dinner and overnight in a desert camp.

Day 6: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
The day begins with a relaxed morning in the desert and offers the opportunity to enjoy the special atmosphere of the Wahiba Sands once again. Afterwards, we continue to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. Overnight in Nizwa.

Day 7: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen
Today, the cultural highlights of the Omani hinterland are the focus. In Nizwa, the historic old town and the traditional fortress region are explored. Afterwards, visits to Bahla and Jabreen lead to some of the country's most significant historical buildings. Lunch included. Overnight in Nizwa.

Day 8: Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen – Jabal Shams
The route first leads to Al Hamra, one of the oldest places in Oman. Afterwards, we visit the picturesquely located mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud houses and terraced gardens. We continue to Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in the country. Dinner and overnight at Jabal Shams.

Day 9: Jabal Shams
Spectacular views await participants along the vantage points of the so-called "Grand Canyon of Oman". During a guided light hike, the impressive gorges and mountain landscapes can be experienced particularly intensely. Overnight at Jabal Shams.

Day 10: Jabal Shams – Omani hinterland – Muscat
After breakfast, we drive back through the impressive landscapes of the Omani mountains to Muscat. In the evening, a farewell dinner is held. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 11: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

Deluxe Double Room Sea View

The Premier Double Rooms (PR2/PR1) are approx. 51 m² in size and feature, in addition to the same facilities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, high-quality toiletries from Shangri-La and high-speed Wi-Fi. From the furnished balcony or terrace, guests have a view of the gardens, the pool, or the sea.

One Bedroom Suite
