Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
During a guided tour, participants will learn about the cultural highlights of the Omani capital. In addition to significant landmarks, the program includes a visit to the traditional district of Mutrah with its waterfront promenade and the lively souk. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 3: Wadi Dayqah – Wakan
Today, the journey leads into the charming landscapes of the Omani hinterland. The Wadi Dayqah reservoir impresses with its setting between rugged mountains, while the mountain village of Wakan, with its traditional terraced gardens and impressive views, offers an authentic insight into rural Oman. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 4: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
Along the coastal road, the journey continues first to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone basin with crystal-clear water. Afterwards, the program includes Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi with their lush oasis landscapes and spectacular rock formations. After the included lunch, continue to Sur. Overnight in Sur.

Day 5: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The trip leads first to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Turquoise natural pools and lush vegetation form a charming contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, continue into the Wahiba Sands with its vast dune landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay at the desert camp.

Day 6: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
The day begins with a relaxed morning in the desert and offers the opportunity to enjoy the special atmosphere of the Wahiba Sands once more. Afterwards, continue to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. Overnight in Nizwa.
Day 7: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen
Today, the cultural highlights of the Omani hinterland are the focus. In Nizwa, the historic old town and the traditional fortress region are explored. Afterwards, visits to Bahla and Jabreen lead to some of the country's most significant historical buildings. Lunch included. Overnight in Nizwa.

Day 8: Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen – Jabal Shams
The route first leads to Al Hamra, one of Oman's oldest places. Afterwards, the picturesquely situated mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud houses and terraced gardens is visited. Continue to Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in the country. Dinner and overnight at Jabal Shams.

Day 9: Jabal Shams
Spectacular views await participants along the viewpoints of the so-called „Grand Canyon of Oman“. During a guided easy hike, the impressive gorges and mountain landscapes can be experienced particularly intensely. Overnight at Jabal Shams.

Day 10: Jabal Shams – Omani hinterland – Muscat
After breakfast, return drive through the impressive landscapes of the Omani mountains to Muscat. In the evening, a farewell dinner together. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 11: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual departure.

The Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2/DD1) are spacious at 45 m² with bath/shower, WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, Wi-Fi, coffee/tea maker, safe, minibar for a fee, ironing station, as well as a terrace or balcony facing the garden or the interior of the complex. Also bookable with an extra charge as Deluxe Double Room with sea view (DDM/DM1).
From 5.1.27, the Deluxe Double Rooms no longer have a balcony or terrace but have a French balcony and are located in the main building.

Superior Double Room

With the same facilities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, the Superior Double Rooms (DSU/DSE) are located in the main building and have a French balcony.

Junior Suite

With the same facilities, the Junior Suites (JS2/JS1) offer 62 m² of living space as well as a seating area with a sofa. The balcony faces the interior of the complex.

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions in hotel operations. German citizens can enter Oman visa-free for up to 14 days. For entry into Oman, a passport valid for at least 6 months after entry is required, as well as a return flight ticket, a confirmed hotel reservation, health insurance, and sufficient financial means for the stay.
