Oman Grand Tour Round Trip

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
During a full-day sightseeing tour, participants will get to know the capital of Oman. Magnificent buildings, historical sights, and the traditional life in the Sultanate provide a first impression of the rich culture and history of the country. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 3: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
Following the coast, the journey first leads to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with turquoise water. Afterward, Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, with their palm groves and impressive rock formations, are on the program. After the included lunch, continue to the coastal town of Sur. Overnight stay in Sur.

Day 4: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The day begins with a journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of the most famous wadis in Oman. Clear water pools and lush vegetation create a charming contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, the tour continues to Wahiba Sands. The day ends with an atmospheric sunset over the golden dunes of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay at the desert camp.

Day 5: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an orientation tour, participants will gain insights into the historical old town, the fortress, and the traditional souk, which is considered one of the most famous markets in the country. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 6: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen
Today, some of the cultural and scenic highlights of the Omani hinterland are on the program. The route leads via Bahla and the impressive Jabreen Castle to Al Hamra, one of the oldest places in Oman. Afterward, a visit to the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud houses and terraced gardens follows. Lunch included. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 7: Nizwa – Jabal Shams
Today's trip leads into the mountain world of the Hajar Mountains. The destination is Jabal Shams, at around 3,000 meters the highest mountain in Oman. The viewpoints along the so-called "Grand Canyon of Oman" offer spectacular views of deep gorges and impressive rocky landscapes. Dinner and overnight stay at Jabal Shams.

Day 8: Jabal Shams – Mountain Villages – Wadi Ghul – Muscat
After breakfast, more impressions of the Omani mountain region are on the program. Passing traditional mountain villages and through the impressive Wadi Ghul, the trip leads back to the capital, Muscat. Lunch on the way. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 9: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

The comfortable and modern Deluxe Double Rooms (DD2/DD1) are approx. 38 m² and feature a bathroom with shower/WC and a separate bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, coffee and tea maker, minibar, and a furnished balcony or terrace with garden views.

Deluxe Double Room Sea View

The Deluxe Double Rooms Sea View (DDM/DD1) feature the same size and facilities as the Deluxe Double Rooms. Enjoy sea views from the furnished balcony.

Premier Double Room

The Premier Double Rooms (PR2/PR1) are approx. 51 m² and, with the same facilities as the Deluxe Double Rooms, additionally feature high-quality Shangri-La toiletries and high-speed Wi-Fi. The furnished balcony or terrace offers views of the gardens, the pool, or the sea.

One Bedroom Suite

The One Bedroom Suites (OB2) are approx. 76 m² and, in addition to the same facilities as the Premier Double Rooms, feature a separate living room, Luban Spa toiletries, BOSE speakers, Nespresso coffee machine, tea maker, gourmet minibar (refilled daily with non-alcoholic drinks, juices, beer, and snacks), and a fruit basket upon arrival. Seasonal information

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions in hotel operations. In addition, hotels use the time for maintenance and minor renovation work, during which impairments such as pool closures etc. may occur. Furthermore, some restaurants may be closed, as meals are not served everywhere.
