Oman Grand Tour Round Trip

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
During a full-day sightseeing tour, participants will get to know the capital of Oman. Magnificent buildings, historical landmarks, and the traditional life in the Sultanate provide a first impression of the country's rich culture and history. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 3: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
The journey continues along the coast to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone basin with turquoise blue water. Afterward, the program includes Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi with their palm groves and impressive rock formations. After the included lunch, continue to the coastal city of Sur. Overnight stay in Sur.

Day 4: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The day begins with the journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most famous wadis. Clear water pools and lush vegetation form a charming contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, we continue to the Wahiba Sands. The day ends with an atmospheric sunset over the golden dunes of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay at the desert camp.

Day 5: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an orientation tour, participants will gain insights into the historical old town, the fortress, and the traditional souk, which is considered one of the most famous markets in the country. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 6: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen
Today, some of the cultural and scenic highlights of the Omani hinterland are on the program. The route leads via Bahla and the impressive Jabreen Castle to Al Hamra, one of the oldest places in Oman. Afterward, there is a visit to the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud houses and terraced gardens. Lunch included. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 7: Nizwa – Jabal Shams
Today's day leads into the mountain world of the Hajar Mountains. The destination is Jabal Shams, at around 3,000 meters the highest mountain in Oman. From the viewpoints along the so-called "Grand Canyon of Oman," spectacular views of deep gorges and impressive rock landscapes open up. Dinner and overnight stay at Jabal Shams.

Day 8: Jabal Shams – Mountain villages – Wadi Ghul – Muscat
After breakfast, further impressions of the Omani mountain region are on the program. Passing traditional mountain villages and through the impressive Wadi Ghul, the journey leads back to the capital, Muscat. Lunch en route. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 9: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

Double Room Deluxe

The comfortable and modern Double Rooms Deluxe (DD2/DD1) are approx. 38 m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC and a separate bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers, air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, and a furnished balcony or furnished terrace with views of the garden.

Double Room Deluxe Sea View

The Double Rooms Deluxe Sea View (DDM/DD1) have the same size and amenities as the Double Rooms Deluxe. From the furnished balcony, you can enjoy a view over the sea.

Double Room Premier

The Double Rooms Premier (PR2/PR1) are approx. 51 m² in size and, with otherwise the same amenities as the Double Rooms Deluxe, additionally feature high-quality Shangri-La toiletries and high-speed Wi-Fi. From the furnished balcony or furnished terrace, you look out over the gardens, the pool, or the sea.

One Bedroom Suite

The One Bedroom Suites (OB2) are approx. 76 m² in size and, in addition to the same amenities as the Double Rooms Premier, feature a separate living room, Luban Spa toiletries, BOSE speakers, Nespresso coffee machine, tea kettle, gourmet minibar (replenished daily with non-alcoholic drinks, juices, beer, and snacks), and a fruit basket upon arrival. From the furnished balcony, you look out over the Gulf of Oman.

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions on hotel operations.
