Oman Grand Tour Round Trip

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
During a full-day sightseeing tour, participants will get to know the capital of Oman. Magnificent structures, historical landmarks, and traditional life in the Sultanate provide a first impression of the country's rich culture and history. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 3: Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole – Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi – Sur
The trip leads along the coast, first to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with turquoise water. Afterward, Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, with their palm groves and impressive rock formations, are on the program. After the included lunch, continue to the coastal town of Sur. Overnight stay in Sur.

Day 4: Sur – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
The day begins with a journey to Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most famous wadis. Clear pools and lush vegetation form a charming contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, the journey continues into the Wahiba Sands. The day ends with a beautiful sunset over the golden dunes of the desert. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.

Day 5: Wahiba Sands – Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an orientation tour, participants gain insights into the historical old town, the fortress, and the traditional souk, which is considered one of the most famous markets in the country. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 6: Nizwa – Bahla – Jabreen – Al Hamra – Misfat Al Abriyeen
Today, some of the cultural and scenic highlights of the Omani hinterland are on the program. The route leads via Bahla and the impressive Jabreen Castle to Al Hamra, one of the oldest places in Oman. Afterward, visit the picturesque mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its traditional mud-brick houses and terraced gardens. Lunch included. Overnight stay in Nizwa.

Day 7: Nizwa – Jabal Shams
Today's journey leads into the mountains of the Hajar range. The destination is Jabal Shams, the highest mountain in Oman at around 3,000 meters. From the viewpoints along the so-called „Grand Canyon of Oman“, spectacular views of deep gorges and impressive rocky landscapes open up. Dinner and overnight stay at Jabal Shams.

Day 8: Jabal Shams – Mountain Villages – Wadi Ghul – Muscat
After breakfast, further impressions of the Omani mountain region are on the agenda. Passing traditional mountain villages and through the impressive Wadi Ghul, the journey leads back to the capital, Muscat. Lunch on the way. Overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 9: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

Jumeirah Muscat Bay

Location

With the sea, the mountains, and the historic city nearby, Jumeirah Muscat Bay is the ideal place to switch off, enjoy relaxing days on the hotel's own beach, explore the vast nature, or discover the rich history of the Sultanate.
Not far away are ancient ports, modern souks, and the Royal Opera House Muscat, which invite you to explore the surroundings.
Muscat Airport (MCT) is approximately 46 km away.

Facilities

The Jumeirah Muscat Bay hotel, newly opened in 2022, features 195 rooms, all offering a modern Arabian atmosphere. Furthermore, the hotel features three swimming pools in its well-maintained outdoor area.
With a total of five establishments, it offers a variety of superior restaurants with breathtaking views and exceptional cuisine. The "Peridot" restaurant impresses with international cuisine and show cooking, while the "Zuka" restaurant by the pool serves delicacies as well as fresh juices and cocktails. The "Brezza" restaurant combines Mediterranean cuisine with Italian cuisine. The restaurant also features a rooftop bar where shisha is offered, among other things. The "Tarini Lounge", where guests can enjoy tea and small delicacies, is open from 9 am to 10 pm. The "Anzo Bar", with its cozy terrace and view over the bay, offers international signature cocktails and Asian appetizers.

Double Room Resort Deluxe (formerly Double Room Deluxe Sea View)

The Double Room Resort Deluxe (DDM/DM1) are approx. 44-49 m² and are equipped with a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, bathrobes/slippers, minibar, coffee and tea-making facilities, HD LED TV, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and resort view.

Double Room Deluxe Garden View

The Double Room Deluxe Garden View (G2W/G1W) feature the same facilities as the Double Room Resort Deluxe, are approx. 46-54 m² in size, and have a terrace with garden view.

One Bedroom Family Suite (formerly Family Suite Sea View)

With otherwise the same facilities as the Double Room Resort Deluxe, the One Bedroom Family Suite (OBO/OOS) are equipped with a large balcony and sea view. Furthermore, these rooms have a separate living room with bathroom and a dining area (approx. 98-102 m²). Guests of this room category also enjoy exclusive access to the Premium Lounge (10 am – 8 pm).

One Bedroom Panoramic Suite

The One Bedroom Panoramic Suite (CDP/CEP) are approx. 98-104 m² in size and, with otherwise the same facilities as the One Bedroom Family Suite, additionally feature a sea view. Guests of this room category have exclusive access to the Premium Lounge (10 am – 8 pm).
