Oman Essentials Round Trip

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and welcome by the local tour guide. Followed by transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Muscat.

Day 2: Muscat
Today is dedicated to the Omani capital. Highlights include the impressive Sultan Qaboos Mosque, the historic Old Muscat, and the picturesque Mutrah corniche. A visit to the traditional souk allows for an intensive experience of the country's oriental atmosphere. Overnight in Muscat.

Day 3: Muscat - Bimmah Sinkhole - Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi - Sur
The journey along the coast leads first to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with crystal-clear water. Next on the program are Wadi Shab or Wadi Tiwi, with their spectacular rock formations, palm groves, and watercourses. After the included lunch, continue to the port city of Sur. Overnight in Sur.

Day 4: Sur - Wadi Bani Khalid - Wahiba Sands
After traveling further inland, participants will visit Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Turquoise natural pools and lush vegetation form an impressive contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the Wahiba Sands. The vast dune landscape provides an unforgettable backdrop for the sunset in the desert. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.

Day 5: Wahiba Sands - Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an orientation tour, the historic old town and the traditional souk—some of the most important cultural centers in the country—will be explored. Overnight in Nizwa.

Day 6: Nizwa - Bahla - Jabreen - Al Hamra - Misfat Al Abriyeen - Muscat
Today's tour leads to some of the cultural highlights of the Omani highlands. Significant historical buildings are on the agenda in Bahla and Jabreen. Further impressions will be gained in the traditional village of Al Hamra as well as the picturesquely situated mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen, with its terraced gardens and characteristic mud houses. After lunch, return to Muscat and overnight stay.

Day 7: Departure from Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual return journey.

Double Room Deluxe

The comfortable and modern Deluxe Double rooms (DD2/DD1) are approximately 38 m² in size and feature a bathroom with shower/WC and a separate bathtub, hairdryer, bathrobes, slippers, air conditioning, safe, Wi-Fi, satellite TV, coffee and tea making facilities, minibar, and a furnished balcony or furnished terrace with garden views.

Double Room Deluxe Sea View

The Deluxe Double rooms with Sea View (DDM/DD1) have the same size and facilities as the Deluxe Double rooms. Guests can enjoy a view of the sea from the furnished balcony.

Double Room Premier

The Premier Double rooms (PR2/PR1) are approximately 51 m² in size and, apart from having the same facilities as the Deluxe Double rooms, additionally feature high-quality Shangri-La toiletries and high-speed Wi-Fi. The furnished balcony or terrace offers views of the gardens, the pool, or the sea.

One Bedroom Suite

The One Bedroom Suites (OB2) are approximately 76 m² in size and, in addition to the facilities found in the Premier Double rooms, feature a separate living room, Luban Spa toiletries, BOSE speakers, a Nespresso coffee machine, tea maker, gourmet minibar (restocked daily with non-alcoholic beverages, juices, beer, and snacks), and a fruit basket upon arrival. The furnished balcony offers views over the Gulf of Oman.
