1st Day: Arrival Muscat
Arrival at Muscat International Airport and welcome by the local tour guide. Transfer to the hotel and overnight stay in Muscat.
2nd Day: Muscat
Today is entirely dedicated to the Omani capital. Highlights include the impressive Sultan Qaboos Mosque, historic Old Muscat, and the picturesque Mutrah waterfront. A visit to the traditional souk allows you to experience the country's oriental atmosphere in a particularly intense way. Overnight stay in Muscat.
3rd Day: Muscat-Bimmah Sinkhole-Wadi Shab/Wadi Tiwi-Sur
The trip follows the coast to the Bimmah Sinkhole, a natural limestone pool with crystal-clear water. Afterwards, Wadi Shab and Wadi Tiwi, with their spectacular rock formations, palm groves, and watercourses, are on the agenda. After an included lunch, continue to the port city of Sur. Overnight stay in Sur.
4th Day: Sur-Wadi Bani Khalid-Wahiba Sands
After travelling further inland, participants will visit Wadi Bani Khalid, one of Oman's most beautiful wadis. Turquoise natural pools and lush vegetation form an impressive contrast to the surrounding mountain landscape. In the afternoon, the journey continues to the Wahiba Sands. The vast dune landscape offers an unforgettable backdrop for the sunset in the desert. Dinner and overnight stay in the desert camp.
5th Day: Wahiba Sands-Nizwa
After breakfast, drive to Nizwa, the former capital of Oman. During an introductory tour, the historic old town and the traditional souk will be explored, which are among the most important cultural centers of the country. Overnight stay in Nizwa.
6th Day: Nizwa-Bahla-Jabreen-Al Hamra-Misfat Al Abriyeen-Muscat
Today leads to some of the cultural highlights of the Omani mountains. Significant historical buildings are on the program in Bahla and Jabreen. Further impressions will be gained in the traditional village of Al Hamra as well as the picturesquely situated mountain village of Misfat Al Abriyeen with its terraced gardens and characteristic mud houses. After lunch, return trip to Muscat and overnight stay.
7th Day: Departure Muscat
Transfer to Muscat International Airport and individual departure.

In the Sultanate of Oman, most rooms are equipped with one king-size bed or two queen-size beds or 2 single beds. For an occupancy of 2 adults + 1 child, accommodation is provided with 1 king-size bed and, subject to availability, an extra bed/sofa bed (partly for a fee). For 2 adults and 2 children, accommodation is provided with 2 queen-size beds or 1 king-size bed and 1 or 2 extra/sofa beds (depending on availability and size of the rooms and partly for a fee).

Local customs and etiquette:
The Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and drones:
Always ask for permission before taking photos of people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and e-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed in licensed places such as hotels and restaurants, with the legal minimum age for alcohol consumption being 21. It is also possible for visitors to shop at the airport duty-free. Public drunkenness is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.
