Local Customs and Etiquette:
Omanis are known for their warmth and hospitality. Visitors should respect local customs by dressing conservatively, especially at religious sites. Public displays of affection are generally avoided, and loud or disruptive behavior is discouraged.
Photography and Drones:
Always ask for permission before photographing people. Avoid taking photos of government buildings and military sites. Flying drones without a license is illegal.
Alcohol and E-cigarettes:
Alcohol can be purchased and consumed at licensed venues such as hotels and restaurants, with the legal drinking age being 21. Visitors may also purchase at airport duty-free shops. Public intoxication is prohibited. E-cigarettes are illegal in Oman.

Seasonal information

During the fasting month of Ramadan, there may be restrictions in hotel operations. Furthermore, hotels use this time for maintenance and minor renovation work, during which disruptions such as pool closures may occur. In addition, some restaurants may be closed as meals are not served everywhere.
The entertainment program at the hotel will be canceled or restricted.
During Ramadan, eating, drinking, and smoking in public places is not permitted.
