Location

The SBH Monica Zanzibar is located directly on the beautiful Paje Beach on the southeast coast of the island, with a breathtaking view of the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean. Paje Beach is particularly well-known among kitesurfers. Restaurants, bars, and shops are located in the immediate vicinity. The international airport is approx. 1.5 hours away.

Facilities

The hotel features a lobby, a main restaurant, a tapas restaurant, an Asian restaurant, and a snack bar/restaurant, as well as 4 bars. There is also a boutique, beauty salon, souvenir shop, and a sun terrace. Sun loungers and umbrellas are available free of charge by the pool.

The lack of authorisation is not due to specific safety problems with the individual airlines, but rather to the inspection and safety procedures of the Tanzanian aviation authority, which do not currently meet the safety requirements of the EU.
However, the airlines that we use for domestic flights (for example, for transfer flights from Zanzibar to mainland Tanzania) are subject to the international safety assessment ISSA of the IATA (International Air Transport Association) or a comparable safety assessment. These assessments correspond to the globally recognised safety standards of the aviation industry.
