Location

This small, Seychellois-run hotel is located directly on one of Praslin's most beautiful beaches, "Côte D'Or". The hotel is the ideal starting point for exploring the beauty of the surrounding nature. The famous beach "Anse Lazio" and the "Vallée de Mai National Park" are nearby. There are a few shops and restaurants in the vicinity. The transfer from Mahé airport to the port takes approx. 20 minutes by car, followed by a ferry to Praslin island (approx. 75 minutes) and then approx. 15 minutes by car from the port to the hotel.

Facilities

The name says it all in "Praslin's green hotel": the complex blends harmoniously into its natural surroundings. Furthermore, great emphasis was placed on environmentally friendly materials during construction, and the majority of the buildings were constructed with African mahogany, which gave the hotel its name. The hotel, partially renovated in 2025, offers 10 two-story buildings housing a total of 58 rooms. Amenities include a reception area with seating, a boutique, a small library, and a hairdresser. For culinary delights, there is the main restaurant "Les Boucaniers" and the "Starfish" restaurant, both offering international cuisine, grilled dishes, and specialties from Neptune's realm. Cool refreshments are served at 2 bars. In the tropical garden, the infinity pool with a fantastic view of the beach and the "Curieuse Marine National Park", a separate children's pool, and the sun terrace invite you to relax and unwind. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are provided free of charge.

The recently renovated rooms (approx. 36 sqm) are furnished in a "Tropical Island Vibes" style and consist of a combined living/sleeping area with a bathroom featuring a rain shower/WC, bathrobe, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, individually adjustable air conditioning, safe, desk, coffee/tea making facilities, kettle, minibar (for a fee), telephone, flat-screen satellite TV, and tiled floors, as well as a furnished balcony facing the garden.

In case of high tide, the sunbathing and swimming opportunities on the hotel beach may be limited.
Please note that an ecological sustainability fee is charged locally. This fee is payable per person per night in cash directly to the hotel and currently ranges from €1.80 to €7.20 (depending on the size of the hotel). Children under 13 years of age are exempt from this regulation.
For your international inbound and return flights to/from Mahé, please observe the ferry times for hotel bookings on the neighboring islands (e.g., Praslin/La Digue). If you arrive after 1 PM or depart before 12 PM, a transfer to/from Praslin/La Digue cannot be guaranteed. In case of arrival/departure outside the times mentioned above due to flight delays, bad weather, or long waiting times at immigration, our local agency will arrange an overnight stay in Mahé for you. If your booked flight times fall outside the timeframes mentioned above, please book an overnight stay in Mahé through your travel agent.
