Location

The Sands At Chale Island is nestled within a 60,000 m² nature reserve, forming Kenya's only private island resort. Surrounded by the warm, aquamarine waters of the Indian Ocean, Chale Island is where comfort meets a natural experience. The private island is located approximately 10 km south of Diani Beach and about 600 meters from the mainland.

The hotel features 61 rooms that blend into the natural surroundings, offering breathtaking views of the tropical environment. In addition to a reception, the hotel has four restaurants: Baharini, Samaki Sushi Bar, Kibanda, and Tamu Tamu Cafeteria (international, Indian, Mediterranean, Oriental, regional, fish/seafood, grill, Japanese), three bars: Jahazi Beach Bar, Barafu Bar, and Mkoko Sunset Deck, three swimming pools, a boutique, a library, and an internet corner. Loungers, sun umbrellas, and beach towels are provided free of charge.

The Deluxe Rooms (approx. 35 m²) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, TV, minibar, and a private balcony with an island view (DD2/DD1).

Sea View Bandas Double Room

The Sea View Bandas Rooms (approx. 55 m²) offer the same amenities and include a private veranda with a view of the Indian Ocean (DM/DEM).

Tower Suites

Located in the heart of the resort, the Tower Suites offer breathtaking views of the sea and Chale Island. Their elevated position provides a unique perspective. The spacious bedroom and living area offer ample space for relaxation, and the private balcony is the perfect spot to enjoy a tranquil morning coffee overlooking the sea at sunrise (S2/S1).

Note

Due to the proximity to the island's nature reserve and the protection of its wildlife, power supply is limited during the day. Rooms are supplied with electricity from 5 PM to 10 AM.
