Travel information

The selected travel offer has a duration of 12 travel days and includes various individual services.
Accommodation at the hotel is provided for 10 nights.
The safari includes one night in a lodge according to the program. The exact date of the safari start will be announced on-site.
Transfers between the hotel and the camp are included in the price.

Ngutuni Safari 2 Days

Itinerary

Experience exciting wildlife viewing in the private Ngutuni Wildlife Conservancy with a view of a busy waterhole.

Day 1:
After an early breakfast at Papillon Lagoon Reef, you will be picked up by the safari guide around 7 am and proceed to Ngutuni Lodge. The lodge is located in an approx. 4000-hectare private wildlife reserve on the border of Tsavo East National Park (185 km/approx. 4 hours drive). After arrival, check-in, followed by time to relax before lunch.
In the afternoon, the first exciting game drive in the Ngutuni Sanctuary begins. The sanctuary is home to large herds of elephants and buffaloes, as well as lions, giraffes, zebras, and many other animal species. At dusk, you will return to the lodge for dinner. With a bit of luck, you can watch elephants gathering at the illuminated waterhole directly in front of the lodge in the evening.
Overnight stay at Ngutuni Lodge (full board).

Day 2:
Early in the morning, enjoy a hot drink and light snack before setting off on an early morning game drive. The early morning hours are considered the best time for wildlife viewing as many animals are still actively foraging before temperatures rise.
After returning to the lodge, enjoy a relaxed breakfast with a view of the waterhole. Then, return trip to Mombasa (185 km/approx. 3.5 hours drive). Arrival at Papillon Lagoon Reef is scheduled in time for lunch.

Ngutuni Lodge

The lodge features 48 guest rooms in four building blocks, all offering a direct view of the waterhole.
Facilities include a separate bathroom with shower and hairdryer, telephone, vanity table, and a furnished balcony with a view of the waterhole.

Papillon Lagoon Reef

Location

The hotel is beautifully nestled in a wide garden, directly on the white, wide Diani Beach fringed by palm trees. Mombasa is approx. 35 km away. The airport is approx. 90 minutes away by car. The nearest shops are located in Diani (approx. 3 km away).

The resort, built in typical African style, features 149 rooms distributed across a total of eight 2-story buildings. Adjacent to the open lobby with reception and boutique is the modern lounge with TV, as well as the restaurant. From the swimming pool with swim-up bar, the beautiful lawn (sun loungers, pads, and pool towels are included) extends to the long sandy beach. Here you will also find the beach bar with a dance floor for lively evenings and an open restaurant serving a buffet of local and continental dishes. Towels are included at the pool. In addition, there is the Lagoon Lounge (for a fee), where premium drinks, barista coffee, and tropical cocktails are served, offering a breathtaking view of the beach.

Same as the DZ Garden Room, but larger (approx. 33 m²), separate bath and shower, minibar (refilled once per week), free safe, tea and coffee making facilities, and partial or direct sea view.
