Travel Information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then the opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The True Beach Resort, consisting of the sub-areas "True Beach Resort" (bookable under RMF333, fully renovated) and True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), first opened its doors in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam on a dreamlike stretch of coastline with a bay in front offering crystal-clear water, directly on the beach. Coral reefs in front invite snorkeling. Marsa Alam airport is approximately 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style, combined with modern Arabic accents, thus offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star complex consists of two sub-areas, the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" as an adults-only area, bookable for ages 16 and up. The complex offers a total of 158 rooms spread across both sub-areas and features a spacious reception area with a reception desk and a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating indoors and outdoors (located in the resort). On the first floor of the lobby is a rooftop bar, "Sama Bar." The Village area of the resort (adults-only) is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that run through the entire complex and are also the pools for the swim-up rooms, as well as an infinity pool offering a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heated). In the middle of the pool landscape, you will find the pool bar "Scarab Bar" as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Guests of the Village area also have access to the Greek restaurant "ILIOS" and an Asian restaurant "NORI," both located on the beach. The beach also offers the bars "ILIOS Bar" and "Salt Bar." Furthermore, guests of the Village sub-area can also use the main restaurant "El Manzil" and the fish restaurant "Ritsa" (both located in the resort area). The resort area has two spacious pools and a whirlpool integrated into the main pool (main pool heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for young and old. The complex also features the pool bar "Maya," a theater offering various evening entertainment programs, as well as various shops and a hairdresser and spa area. Guests of the Village area may use both sub-areas, but not vice versa. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.
