Travel Information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday, including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel offer you have selected has a duration of 12 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship always follows the program for seven days. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight stay on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit to the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Temple of Habu (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo, where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight stay on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight stay on board.

Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package is included.
Lunch on board. Overnight stay and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Afterwards, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Bath towels are included on board.

The True Beach Resort, which consists of the sections “True Beach Resort“ (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), first opened its doors in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam on a dreamlike stretch of coastline with a bay in front featuring crystal-clear water, directly on the beach. Coral reefs offshore invite snorkeling (swimming shoes recommended). Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The schauinsland-reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style, combined with modern Arabic accents, offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star resort consists of two sections, the "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and the "True Beach Village" (bookable under RMF444) as an Adult-Only area, bookable for ages 16 and up. The complex has a total of 158 rooms spread across both sections and offers a spacious reception area with a reception desk and a lobby bar "True Lobby Bar" with seating indoors and outdoors. The resort area features two generous pools and a whirlpool integrated into the main pool (one of which is heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. A children's pool and a splash pool with various water games are located next to the mini club and the adjacent playground with a sunshade. The main restaurant "El Manzil" offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style, and additionally, the beachfront seafood restaurant "Ritsa" is included once per stay. The three à la carte restaurants "El Tawla" (oriental), "NORI" (asian-fusion), and "ILIOS" (Greek) are located in the Village area and are available for a fee (Adult only, reservation required). Furthermore, the complex has a pool bar "Maya," a rooftop bar "Sama Bar" (Shisha available, for a fee), a theater that offers various entertainment programs in the evening, a beach bar, and various shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. The Village area is surrounded by a generous water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools that run through the entire complex, as well as an infinity pool offering views of the crystal-clear bay (all pools can be heated). In the middle of the pool landscape, you will find a pool bar "Scarab Bar" as well as the oriental restaurant "El Tawla" and a chaise lounge. Two further bars, "Salt Bar" and "ILIOS" Bar, directly on the beach, are available in the Village area. Guests of the Village area can use both sections, but not vice versa. Loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included by the pool and on the beach.

Superior Double Room

The friendly furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU) have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (filled with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water upon arrival, water is refilled daily), kettle and safe, seating area, and terrace, and are approximately 47 m² in size. Also bookable as Type I (DSI) with the same amenities, limited availability, and special price. Optionally also available for single occupancy (DEU).

Upgrade Superior Double Room Sea View

The room (UMB) has the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms with Sea View, plus the following:
- Fruit basket upon arrival
- Bottle of wine in the room
- 10% discount on treatments in the hotel's spa area

Superior Double Room Seafront

The Family Rooms (DF2) have a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (filled with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water upon arrival, water is refilled daily), kettle and safe, seating area, and balcony or terrace, and are approximately 47 m² in size. Once per stay, the beachfront seafood à la carte restaurant "Ritsa" is included (reservation required, depending on occupancy, the restaurant may not be open daily). Upon request, the following à la carte restaurants in the Village area can be visited for a fee (reservation required): Greek restaurant "ILIOS," Oriental restaurant "El Tawla," and Asian fusion restaurant "NORI" (two of the restaurants are open depending on the day of the week, from 7-10 pm, opening hours may vary depending on season).
