Travel information

Combined product consisting of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation at the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the inbound flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The preliminary and subsequent stay at the hotel depends on your arrival day and the embarkation day. All transfers between the airport, hotel, and port are included.

Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast, excursion to West Thebes
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Sailing to Edfu in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast, visit to the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).

Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).

Early morning at 3:30 AM, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package included.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship from the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The True Beach Resort, consisting of the "True Beach Resort" (bookable under RMF333, completely renovated) and the True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), first opened its doors in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam and sits on a dreamlike stretch of coastline with a bay featuring crystal-clear water, directly on the beachfront. Coral reefs offshore invite snorkeling (beach shoes recommended). Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style combined with modern Arabic accents, offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star resort consists of two sections: "True Beach Resort," particularly suitable for families, and "True Beach Village" (bookable under RMF444), an adults-only area for ages 16 and above. The resort has a total of 158 rooms distributed across both sections, featuring a spacious reception area with a reception desk and the "True Lobby Bar" with indoor and outdoor seating. The resort area boasts two large pools and a whirlpool integrated into the main pool (one heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. A children's pool and a kids' splash pool with various water features are located next to the mini-club and the adjacent playground with a sunshade. The main restaurant "El Manzil" offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style; additionally, the beachfront fish restaurant "Ritsa" is included once per stay. The three à la carte restaurants "El Tawla" (oriental), "NORI" (Asian fusion), and "ILIOS" (Greek) are located in the Village area and are available for a fee (adults only, reservation required). Furthermore, the resort has a pool bar "Maya," a rooftop bar "Sama Bar" (shisha available for a fee), a theater offering various evening entertainment programs, a beach bar, and several shops, a hairdresser, and a spa area. The Village area is surrounded by a generous water landscape and offers a total of 4 different main pools running through the entire complex, as well as an infinity pool with views of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heated). In the midst of the pool landscape, you will find a pool bar "Scarab Bar," the oriental restaurant "El Tawla," and a chaise lounge. Two additional bars, "Salt Bar" and "ILIOS" Bar, are directly on the beach in the Village area. Guests of the Village area can use both sections, but not vice versa. Sun loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included at the pool and on the beach.

The nicely furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (stocked upon arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is refilled daily), kettle and safe, seating area, and terrace, measuring approximately 47 sqm. Also bookable as Type I (DSI) with the same amenities, limited availability, and special price. Also available for single use (DEU). Upgrade Superior Double Room with Sea View

In addition to the amenities of the Superior Double Room with Sea View, the room (UMB) offers the following:

Family Room

The Family Rooms (DF2) feature a bathroom with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (stocked upon arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is refilled daily), kettle and safe, seating area, and balcony or terrace, measuring approximately 47 sqm.
