Travel Information

Combined package of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the most favorable available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

The travel offer you have chosen has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always seven days according to the program. Day 2:
In the morning after breakfast, excursion to Thebes West
to Hatshepsut Temple (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, sail to Edfu. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
In the morning after breakfast, visit Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sail to Kom Ombo where you will have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
In the morning after breakfast, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
In the afternoon, felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.

Early in the morning at 3:30 AM, optional excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast box included.

Day 6:

Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.

Facilities

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 outside cabins spread across different decks. Furthermore, there is a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

The True Beach Resort, consisting of the sections "True Beach Resort" (bookable under RMF333, fully renovated) and True Beach Village (bookable under RMF444, newly built), first opened its doors in December 2023. The complex, designed in an Arabic boho style, is located south of Marsa Alam on a dreamlike coastal stretch with a bay in front offering crystal-clear water, right on the beachfront. Coral reefs offshore invite snorkeling (swimming shoes recommended). Marsa Alam Airport is approximately 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel was built in an elegant Bohemian style combined with modern Arabic accents, offering a unique design in Egypt. The 5-star complex consists of two sections: "True Beach Resort," which is particularly suitable for families, and "True Beach Village" (bookable under RMF444), an Adult-Only area accessible from age 16. The resort has a total of 158 rooms spread across both sections, featuring a spacious reception area with a reception desk and the "True Lobby Bar" with indoor and outdoor seating. The resort area boasts two large pools and a whirlpool integrated into the main pool (one of which is heated in winter). An island in the main pool, accessible via a wooden bridge, offers chill-out areas with loungers and beanbags for all ages. A children's pool and a splash pool with various water games are located next to the kids' club and the adjacent playground with a sunshade. The main restaurant "El Manzil" offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffet-style; additionally, the beachfront seafood restaurant "Ritsa" is included once per stay. The three à la carte restaurants "El Tawla" (oriental), "NORI" (Asian fusion), and "ILIOS" (Greek) are located in the Village area and are available for a fee (Adults only, reservation required). The resort also features a pool bar "Maya," a rooftop bar "Sama Bar" (shisha available, for a fee), a theater offering various evening entertainment programs, a beach bar, and several shops, as well as a hairdresser and spa area. The Village area is surrounded by a spacious water landscape and offers a total of 4 main pools that run through the entire complex, as well as an infinity pool with a view of the crystal-clear bay (all pools are heated). In the middle of the pool landscape, you'll find a pool bar "Scarab Bar," the oriental restaurant "El Tawla," and a chaise lounge. Two further bars, "Salt Bar" and "ILIOS" Bar, are directly on the beach in the Village area. Guests of the Village area can use both sections, but not vice versa. Loungers, umbrellas, and beach towels are included at the pool and on the beach.

The friendly furnished Superior Double Rooms (DSU) have a bathroom with shower/toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (stocked on arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is replenished daily), kettle and safe, seating area and terrace, and are approx. 47 m². Also available as type I (DSI) with the same amenities, limited availability, and special price. Can also be booked for single occupancy (DEU).

Upgrade Superior Double Room Sea View

The room (UMB) has the same amenities as the Superior Double Room Sea View, plus the following:
- Fruit basket on arrival
- Bottle of wine in the room
- 10% discount on treatments in the hotel's spa area

Superior Double Room Seafront

The Superior Double Rooms Seafront (RF2) have a bathroom with shower/toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (stocked on arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is replenished daily), kettle and safe, seating area and terrace or balcony, and are approx. 47 m². The rooms are located in the beachfront buildings and offer pool and side sea views.

Family Room

The Family Rooms (DF2) have a bathroom with shower/toilet, hairdryer, satellite TV, air conditioning, telephone, minibar (stocked on arrival with 4 soft drinks and 2 small bottles of water, water is replenished daily), kettle and safe, seating area and balcony or terrace, and are approx. 47 m². The rooms have a king-size bed and a sofa bed (maximum two children).
