Travel information

Combined product of a Nile cruise on the MS Steigenberger Minerva and a beach holiday including all intermediate transfers. Accommodation in the hotel will always be in the cheapest available room category. If the Nile cruise is booked first, the outward flight must be to Luxor. If the hotel is booked first and then the Nile cruise, the return flight must be from Luxor.

Notice

The travel package you have selected has a duration of 10 days and includes various individual services. Accommodation on the ship is always for seven days according to the program. The pre- and post-cruise stay in the hotel depends on your arrival day and embarkation day. All transfers between airport, hotel, and port are included.

Day 1:
Embarkation on Thursdays.
Arrival and embarkation. Dinner and overnight on board in Luxor.
Day 2:
After breakfast in the morning, excursion to Thebes West
to the Temple of Hatshepsut (1,2,3) with a visit to the Colossi of Memnon (1,2,3). Visit the Valley of the Kings (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Sailing to Edfu in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 3:
After breakfast in the morning, visit the Habu Temple (1,2,3).
Then continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Lunch on board and sailing to Kom Ombo where you have free time.
Continue sailing to Aswan, dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4:
After breakfast in the morning, visit the Aswan High Dam and the Old Dam in Aswan (1,2,3).
Then visit the Temple of Philae by motorboat (1,2,3). Lunch on board.
Afternoon felucca ride on the Nile (1,2,3)
Then an opportunity for a camel ride (3) on the way to visit a Nubian village with the desert on one side and the Nile on the other (3).
Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 5:
Early in the morning at 3:30 am, opportunity for an excursion to Abu Simbel by bus (2,3). Breakfast package included.
Lunch on board. Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 6:
Breakfast on board. Then visit the Temple of Kom Ombo (1,2,3).
Then continue via Edfu and Esna to Luxor.
Overnight and dinner on board.
Day 7:
At 5 am, optional hot air balloon trip (can be booked locally).

The Nile cruise ship of the renowned Steigenberger hotel chain has a total of 77 exterior cabins spread across various decks. It also features a main restaurant, a 24-hour reception, a lounge bar, a hairdresser (on request), a souvenir shop, and a sun deck with a pool and bar. Beach towels are included on board.

SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select

Location

Clear sea water in front of a sandy shore with a beach hotel on the horizon under a blue sky.
The newly built SUNRISE Anjum Resort Grand Select, which first opened in April 2024, impresses with its modern Bohemian style. The resort is located directly on the dreamlike, hotel-owned lagoon sandy beach, offering the perfect conditions for snorkelers and divers. The jetty facilitates entry into deeper water. Marsa Alam Airport is about 90 kilometers from the hotel.

Facilities

The Schauinsland-Reisen original hotel is built in an elegant Bohemian style and features 203 rooms and suites spread across various buildings. The complex has a reception area with seating and an adjoining outdoor terrace. In the outdoor area, there are five different pools, including a splash pool, an infinity whirlpool, an adult-only pool (Oasis Pool), as well as an Island and Kid's Pool (all pools are heated in winter). Restaurants include the Boscage Restaurant (international cuisine, open buffet), the à la carte restaurant "Manzoku" (Asian cuisine), and "Basilico," which operates as an international à la carte restaurant during the day and an Italian à la carte restaurant in the evening. All à la carte restaurants are included and can be visited daily with a reservation. Snacks are available at the "Indigo Terrace" bar. A total of seven different bars, one of which is adults only, offer a selection of drinks. Additionally, the holiday resort has a spa area, a fitness studio, a beauty salon, a kids' club, and various shops.

Superior Double Room

The modernly furnished rooms (DSU, approx. 40 sqm) are equipped with a shower/WC, hairdryer, air conditioning, satellite TV, telephone (for a fee), coffee/tea maker, Wi-Fi, safe, minibar, seating area, and balcony. Also bookable for single use (DEU) and single with child (1DS).

Family Room with Bunk Beds

The family rooms (2FA) have the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms and feature bunk beds.

The rooms (2FS) have the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms but are larger (approx. 50 sqm) and consist of two bedrooms separated by a door (one with a queen-size bed and one with two single beds) and a bathroom with a shower and a terrace.

Junior Suite

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but more spacious (JS2, approx. 55 sqm) and with a living area. Also bookable for single use (1YZ).

The rooms have a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a dressing room, a bathroom with a separate shower, a seating area, and a terrace. Also bookable as a swim-up room with direct access to a shared pool (EXG). Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for safety reasons for children, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Junior Suite Swim Up

With the same amenities as the Superior Double Rooms, but more spacious (SUJ, approx. 60 sqm). These rooms also have access to the shared swim-up pool. Also bookable for single use (SUE). Deluxe Beach Front Swim-up Suite

The rooms (S2U) are approx. 45 sqm and, with similar amenities to the double rooms, have a terrace. The rooms are located very close to the beach. Also bookable for an additional charge with direct access to a private pool (BSD). Rooms with direct pool/sea access pose an increased risk to small children. Therefore, for safety reasons for children, Schauinsland-Reisen requires a minimum age of 6 years for bookings of these room types.

Anjum Jacuzzi Suite Sea View

The Anjum Jacuzzi Suite (S2J) is approx. 80 sqm and consists of two bedrooms, one with a queen-size bed and one with two twin beds. The rooms have, with otherwise similar amenities, a balcony with a Jacuzzi and a sea view.

The main restaurant "Boscage" offers breakfast including coffee and tea as well as various freshly squeezed juices (7:00-10:30 am and late riser breakfast 10:30-11:00 am on request), lunch (1:00-3:00 pm) and dinner (7:00-10:00 pm) in buffet form. If needed, the following à la carte restaurants are also included without restriction (subject to availability and prior reservation): "Basilico" (7:00-10:30 am à la carte breakfast, 12:30-5:00 pm international cuisine, 7:00-10:00 pm Italian cuisine) and "Manzoku," which is open from 6:30 pm to 10:00 pm and offers Asian cuisine. Coffee, tea, and cake are served daily from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the "Indigo Bar." A midnight snack is available for guests from 11:00 pm to 1:00 am in the Boscage Restaurant. Local non-alcoholic drinks are available around the clock at one of the seven different bars (one of the bars is adult only). Local alcoholic drinks are included from 10:00 am to 12:00 am.
